This is a beautiful park. The water was unbelievably clear. They rented kayaks or canoes for only two dollars each, and there was a young man there giving instructions to novices. I was impressed with the park.

We spent a Sunday night and Monday (day) at the park. This park is so popular that it sometimes closes due to overcrowding. We stayed overnight in our RV. Reserve your site far in advance during peak use times (like weekends). Restrooms were very clean....More

Another wonderful Florida State Park! The swimming area is a crystal-clear springfed pool. There is a great little boardwalk nature trail or miles of hiking trails for the more adventurous. We did a two hour kayak rental and enjoyed the abundant wildlife along the river....More

There was an alligator in the swimming area the day we went. Everyone was excited to see the animal "rehomed" beyond the bridge. The men that came and caught it were very harsh with it. Broke all its legs and chained them behind its back....More

Prudence, I don't know for sure but I would think tubing is okay. I doubt there is a renatl place nearby. Try calling the park. I'm sure they could tell you.

I know there is a swimming area so you should be able to scuba dive. I don't think it's very deep though.

No, Scuba diving is not permitted without prior permission. There are places on the Wekiva River where you can scuba dive and one or two deep holes.
