The aquarium itself is a beautiful piece of architecture. Once inside you are taken thru the different levels of the river and the life within. My family enjoyed this aquarium so much. I thought it was cool as a river aquarium since most aquariums we have visited have all been saltwater. My five year old enjoyed it as well as... More

Staycationing for spring break. We took a one hour drive to check this place out. The "blue hole" houses some pretty interesting fish and a couple of huge snapping turtles. The other exhibits have some salt water fish as well as a small octopus. The bird area was nice as well. The volunteer in that area was very informative. There... More

This place is small but really nice. My family walked through twice and relaxed for a while in front of the big blue hole viewing window. It's great to just sit there and watch the fish do what they do. They are aware of us and come to the window often for a look. The place had a pleasant beach... More

An extremely interesting nature presentation that allowed independent learning opportunities. Starting with the overview of a waterscape one soon realizes how little is visible by viewing from above the surface. Then to descend to varying levels adds intrigue to nature, and your presence doesn't seem to disturb the creatures so that natural closeup observation is possible. A great learning experience... This is one of the nicer attractions in ABY. It tells the story of the Flint River very well with lots of hands on activities for kids. The view of the underwater portion of the aquarium is awesome and they have an aviary too. Very reasonably priced!

We enjoyed our visit here. With a child with learning disabilities, we were I n and out in an hour. This place is adaptable. Our grandson enjoyed going at his own pace.

Toured the riverquarium today and really enjoyed it. Only took a hour or so to see everything. We then went next door to the theater to watch an interesting movie. Well worth the money plus we were lucky and found a Groupon.
