Having been on innumerable tourist tours throughout my life, even the good ones tend to bleed together. Not with La Gaviota. The crew (Lorenzo and Glen) could not have made our day snorkeling more special: they both were extremely knowledgeable and passionate about Belize's breathtaking seascape; and while their top concern is their customers' safety, every minute of the day... This was our best day in San Pedro. The captain and his crew took great care of us from start to finish. The crew makes sure your equipment works for you and that you're comfortable in the water. They do a marvelous job spotting fish and sharing their vast knowledge. I can't say enough about the lunch. Hearty and delicious!... More

We took this trip twice! The crew was friendly and knowledge. They took their time to make sure everyone got the most out of the trip. You can tell they truly care about the environment and the safety of their patrons. They also take their time to explain each stop, any safety concerns, and answer questions. Once you leave the... I can't say enough about La Gaviota. The only reason I gave this 5 stars is because there isn't 6 to give. The crew is amazing!! You really know they are working to make each trip a memorable one. The captain and his entire crew are awesome, but want to give Lorenzo and Michael some praise. These guys are very knowledgeable... More

So I absolutely LOVED my experience with Capt Luis, Lorenzo, Glen and Siete (my crew). Informative of every snorkel stop, cooked a delicious lunch, kept everyone safe, and made sure everyone had a fun time. Lorenzo was my snorkel guide and he rocked!! Totally worth it and I would do this tour again in a heartbeat.

Experienced, accommodating, attentive, thoughtful, safety conscious, funny, knowledgeable, this describes the crew of La Gaviota and this is only the beginning. The boat was immaculate, the equipment was in good shape (we brought our own) and the food was fantastic. This is just the beginning. We went to four different areas on the Belize Barrier Reef and were guided to... More

After waiting for 4 days for the wind to calm down before getting out. It was worth the wait. Visited 4 spots for snorkeling with a guide pointing out various coral and fish formations a long the way. Lunch was great. They take care of you on this trip. 9am rum punch... Sure thing.

Our family of four (one child age eleven, one age four) had an amazing day on this sailing trip. The staff was very attentive and helpful. Our guide in the water, Lorenzo seemed as if he belonged in the sea. He knew about every creature and had a knack for finding everything you wanted to see. He even helped my... More

I have been snorkeling off Caye Ambergris for 8 years, this was the first time on La Gaviota . Captain Luis Nūnes and his crew Lorenzo and Glenn made this the best ever. Very friendly, accommodating and knowledgeable crew. Captain Nūnes cooked a great lunch, GREAT DAY.

This is the best way to discover the beautiful marine life. We were a group of 7 and had the old but very steady Gaviota sailing boat all to ourselves. Captain Luis made us an incredible lunch with fresh barracuda and the guides, Michael and Glenn were very knowledgable and kind. The snorkeling equipement is in very good shape and... More
