Great place for a quiet get-away, near enough to Ambergris Cay to enjoy what that has to offer also.

Rentals and restaurants were much less expensive, and we truly enjoyed the atmosphere there, which was much less 'tourist' oriented than Ambergris. Our granddaughter enjoyed playing with the local kids, even went to their homes and to church with them. Stayed several days on Ambergris, didn't like how 'busy' it was, so moved to CC, glad we did.

A getaway that leaves all behind. No cars, traffic, just a breeze, beaches and lobsters! Dirt roads, and lazy days is what you'll find here. And did I say lobsters!

I've been spending more time on this caye in the past years since Ambergris has become so busy and less quaint. Caye Caulker reminds me of San Pedro back in the early 1990s. Cute, brightly painted buildings. Easy to walk to restaurants, excursions and grocery shops. Some very nice rentals homes with all the amenities.

We loved Caye Caulker and would love to come back. There are all kinds of restaurants, bars and lodging for all budgets. The reef is not far and we saw a ray swim right by us at the split. The saying there is go slow, and everyone there seems to follow it. Most people get around on foot, bicycle or... More

A fun island made for the whole family. Plenty of great restaurants. You can enter the water at any point of the island. Backpackers place to be with great affordable hostels.

I have simply fell in love with this island. Our first stop after arrival to Belize and really worth it. Just perfect start of our holidays and got us into the relaxed mood. Just go slow or even slower :) Easily reachable by water taxi from Belize City or by local airplane. People here are so friendly and helpful. You... More

Beautiful and accessible to all activities. Bit of a party crowd here. Came to Caye Caulker instead of Ambergris because we thought the culture would shine through more but not sure that's the case. Wish there wasn't so much of the same thing at every restaurant and shop. If you're looking for unique, you can find a few spots but... More

A small, long and narrow coral island approx. one hour from Belize City by water taxi. Accommodation is somewhat basic but adequate. Our hotel (Caye Caulker Plaza Hotel) had AC. Transport is by golf carts but it is easy to walk from one end to the other. Considered to be an ideal base for diving and snorkling it is also... More

This little island is a great place to unwind and do nothing. There's never a rush here, as everyone reminds you constantly, go slow. The locals are friendly. There's lots of eating and drinking that can be done on this island! Most of the beaches are seaweed filled, which is just how it goes. It isn't a deal breaker as... More
