A place to relax, go slow and drink rum. It is also a great place to go diving, and a lot less busy than San Pedro with far less traffic and hardly any cars! Mostly bikes and golf carts.

Even though I gave 4 stars in this review, the stars are for the Caye Caulker. Not for the Laca Laca Toucan Store. The store located almost at the of the main street, not far from the water taxi. The inventory is good enough to find some souvenirs at the last moment, but nothing special. Please be aware that the... More

Caye Caulker is in no way a local experience in Belize, but it is in every way a place to unwind and slow down. Only being 2 kilometres long, and about 500 meters wide, it's easy to walk from end to end quite quickly... except the street signs will tell you to 'slow down' and enjoy the pace of life... More

I'm not much of an island girl and finding out that you can see from one side of the island to another sounded cramped to me. Caye ("key") Caulker came to grow on me. It was an amazing little place. Easy to walk around and visit all the restaurants and shops and very easy to become familiar with people who... More

There are more than 100 islands in the Belize reef system and the closest to Belize City by way of the water taxi is Caye Caulker. This island is about a mile long and three blocks wide. No need for a car. A bike is more than sufficient to get around. There are several artists who display their wares on... More

$25US round trip per person--if you're on a cruise ship, be sure to check the return schedule so you don't miss your sailing. Sandy island with plenty of options to sit on a beach or hire a local for some snorkeling or paddle board or scuba. Walk to the north end by the Split and grab a beer at Lazy... More

I love this little island and it's people. Knowing that the fish you are having for dinner was caught that morning and the fruit and vegetables were picked yesterday after noon in Cayo or Orange Walk. One of the most interesting inhabitants is the iguana, they seem to be everywhere. The people are very sensitive to the enviornmental problems caused... More

We were only here for three days and already saying it was not long enough can't wait to plan our next trip back . A small island but has everything you need to take some time to enjoy and relax . One of the best snorkeling I have done as the water is so clear and the people are all... More

This island belongs to one of the last places where no human hand modification yet. There are no huge all inclusive hotel resorts yet. Atmosphere with young backpackers brings free spirit to the place and make you feel relaxed.
