Four of us (2 adults, 2 kids, 14,9) took this tour in December 2016. December is a great month for visiting Mayan sites in the jungle. The weather is just about perfect as it is going to get in this part of Central America. We booked through Island Marketing, LTD vs Carnival. The prices with IM,LTD, run somewhat less that... More

We booked this tour through Carnival and it was excellent. It is a taxing day starting with a lengthy bus ride through Belize City and the countryside. It was interesting to see the real Belize and not just beaches and resorts. Our guides led by Elvis Usher were great and gave us a ton of information about the country and... More

Where to begin? This excursion will forever be foremost in our memories as the best time we have ever had on a vacation. Our guide was none other than the famous Elvis of Belize. If you can wrangle it make sure you get Elvis. His knowledge of history, flora, fauna and of course Mayan culture is superb. He is entertaining,... More

We were looking to visit Mayan Ruins while in Belize and research indicated Lamanai was a likely destination. Like most things in Belize, booking is never as straight forward as it should be. So while giving my impressions of the site let me share some insight into the whole booking process. You can reserve a guided tour to the site... More

The tour was, overall, very good. You have an opportunity to observe the countryside on the bus ride to the boat launch. There are some crocodiles that hang out in the boat launch area. it's about a 45 minute boat ride to the Lamanai ruins so be sure to have a hat, sunglasses, and sunscreen. At the ruins you will... Recently took the Lamani and New River Safari excursion on Royal Caribbean. The ship had it very well organized. We were in the first tender off the ship and promptly loaded onto our buses. It does require a long bus ride, but the ride was interesting. We had a brief stop at Tower Hill before taking the boat ride to... More

Very interesting to visit the Mayan ruins and hear the stories. the scenic river boat ride is a misnomer - fast boat that took us to the ruins. much too speedy to see wildlife, etc. be prepared for lots of walking

We took the Laminai Ruins tour with Lamanai Belize Tours, we booked directly and saved a lot of $$ verses booking with the cruse ship. It was a good tour, and a good company to book with, however, it will take the entire time you are allowed off of the ship. we were not prioritized on the tenders (and you... More

It is essential to visit at least one of the Mayan sites if you visit Belize. we chose Lamanai. Getting there is easy if you choose your carrier wisely which we did. The boat ride (about a n hour long) is wild and exciting and lots of wildlife shows itself. One at the ruins a great shore lunch is served... More
