Mixing the river ride, in fast boats, with the cultural visit to the temples is a good way of spending a day. The guides were excellent knowing where to spot the wildlife and full of knowledge of the Mayan people and culture. The temples have been sympathetically excavated and sit within relatively unspoiled jungle. Great views from the top of... More

We were coming from San Pedro, so rather than take the 2 hour boat and 1 hour drive, we flew. There is a small landing strip close by so after a 19 minute flight and 10 minute van ride, we were there! definitely worth the extra cost. Gilberto met us at the runway, then drove to the river where we... More

This makes for a long day so be prepared. We ended up leaving approx 20 minutes late because two people did not show up. That delay seemed to throw the entire timing off. Air conditioned bus ride with lots of great info from the tour guide. It was roughly an hour and 20 minutes. We then spent approx 15 minutes... More

The tour was awesome, just a bit expensive for our Canadian dollar. The bus and boat trip, take a long time, but once there you will see an undisturbed part of history, that is like nothing you can see in the modern road. The guides were delightful and the tour was very safe.

Nice day adventure. Interesting Mayan ruins but you can only visit with a guide. I prefer to explore on my own but you have to have a guide here. I prefer Tikal but this outing had a nice long boat ride. Made for an interesting, fun day. Highly recommend.

We arrived on a cruise ship to Belize City and fortunately booked the trip through the cruise line. The excursion ran longer than expected so we had to scramble to get back to the ship. You start on an hour bus ride where the staff provides many interesting facts. When we arrived, we had to wait on many people using... More

A very interesting place, around 1,0-1,5 hours from City of Belize (around 1 hour by bus and the remaining by boat). Excellent guides, friendly people, well-conservated place with yelling monkeys in the trees. Bring insect repellent or clothes protecting of mosquitos bites.

We for sure had the best tour guide in the history of tour guides! ELVIS rocks the rocks! Do everything you can to get into his group, you won't be disappointed. He goes above and beyond to make your tour the best it can be. The ruins were astonishing, but because of time constraints caused by the cruise line, we... More

The ruins are amazing, the biggest one we saw was 115' tall and it reached that height 100's of years before the birth of Christ. I researched and found these to be the best ones to see from the ports we were visiting. But, the advertised 45 minute ride was 1 1/2 hours on an old bus with crappy air... More

Lamanai ruins are important and major but are ultimately a "pile if old stones" as beloved of move "mature" tourists. The river trip adds a "Water Park" speed boat dimension and a super fun dimension. Great fun for the old and young.
