This was a fascinating day and a real Wow. When you get out to see the sharks and rays it was breathtaking. There were so many of them the staff were very supportive and felt very safe, I'm not the strongest of swimmers but it was manageable and we both said we wouldn't have missed it for the world, we had Captain Chicko and he was so helpful. Highly recommended.

We did the shark and ray adventure with tarpon feeding and it was AWESOME !! Hulkie and Natalie abosultely made this trip for us ! Nat was so informative and made sure we stayed safe yet got the most of our adventure. We have taken many excursions over the year but this one was by far the very best ! WE enjoyed feeling the rays and sharks and feeding the tarpon ! The lunch in Caye Caulker was delicious as well. Would HIGHLY reccomend this tour and ask for NATALIE and HULKIE !! They are THE BOMB !!

We had a Carnival Cruise port day in Belize City over spring break and I'm so glad I found this company a couple weeks prior to our trip. It was a better price than the ship's sponsored excursions and they were able to customize it for our family of five to do two events. We wanted to see howling monkeys and Mayan ruins but not spend too much time at either or be with a big group in case our kids (7, 5, and 1) started to act up. The communication via email before our trip was professional and trustworthy. We followed the instructions on where to meet and it was a short walk to a very nice shuttle van for just our family (after the water taxi from the cruise ship that does take a while, be patient with that). I'm finally writing this review in June and our trip was in March, but I believe our tour guide's name was Eric, so friendly and knowledgeable. The driver had a nickname, I'm sorry I don't remember, but he was efficient and safe. My son started his day with me recalling his favorite country we've visited, Belize, because of how close we got to the loud howling monkey family, the wild pineapple we saw on our hike, and the tarantula we saw at the Altun Ha Mayan ruins. So rewarding hearing my 7yr old recall the great day and it finally reminded me to write this review. We also stopped at a local restaurant for lunch at a place called Roadhouse for some excellent chicken & rice with some homemade hot sauce. Hopefully they take all their groups there, so delicious. I almost never write reviews but really hope Belize Exotic Adventures keeps being supported by tourists because we had such a great time with their personalized experience. Their website is here: discoverbelize . bz and the person we emailed with is Nickoli. We paid for the trip and the tips in USD cash. Thank you!

Wonderful day snorkeling off Caye Caulker ! Melvin and Too Tall ( Tutal) were friendly, informative guides. Our group was a bit large : 21 but they worked hard to take care of us all. The reef was nice ( too many people at one time, but multiple cruise ships were in town that day… so three snorkeling boats were at the reef at once). The stingrays and sharks were so much fun : both animals very friendly, even the 7 year old reach out to touch them!! Lunch spot was a perfect island respite and delicious!! And the afternoon bonus of tarpon feeding: a blast!!! Never did that before. I’d recommend this trip for families, couples, not perfect for experienced divers since it was a bit crowded at the reef.

We had the most amazing time snorkeling the coral gardens and went and swam with stingrays and sharks. Our guides Melvin, Jumai and Too Tall were so awesome and accommodating. We will definitely do this excursion again. We booked this excursion directly with Belize Exotic Adventures and did not go through Carnival.

Wallace was an amazing guide for our tour to Altun Ha and the Belize Zoo. My husband and I are two quiet nerds but he got us out of our shell and was so engaging. Super knowledgeable, gave us lots of time to enjoy the sights and learn, and knew so much about Belize's history (ancient and modern). Bonus points for being a good driver and getting us snacks, lunches and waters on a very hot and humid day! We had some extra time so he took us to Kukumba Beach as well.
Regarding the tour sites, Altun Ha is breathtaking and rich in history, and climbing to the top of the ruins is amazing. The zoo is really unique as the animals are all native to Belize, and it was amazing to see jaguars/coatimundi/tapir/anteaters and a crazy variety of birds, snakes, monkeys etc.
5/5 and I want to come back and do this again! Give Wallace a raise!

This experience in Belize was definitely unparalleled! Natalie our tour guide has lived in this country her whole life and has been doing this for 23 years. She was simply fabulous and provided an extremely informative narrative while travelling to the ruins. She made sure to get us there early so we were the very first group, which made the experience extra special. We enjoyed wine tasting along the way and then enjoyed an authentic Belizean meal on the way home which was simply delicious! We highly recommend booking this tour!!!

We booked this tour through our cruise ship but it was with Exotic Adventure Tours. We went from Belize City to Caye Caulker by boat and then out to the barrier reef for swimming with stingrays & sharks and then out further to the barrier reef. I can't say enough great things about this tour company. They were extremely professional and were very concerned for our safety. They even had a EMT with us incase anyone needed medical help. You are require to wear a life jacket while on the boat and in the water but they way they had us put it on around our waist didn't keep us from doing everything we wanted to. We were put into small groups at the reef and there was someone from the tour company in the front and back of each group incase we needed help. The guides would dive down and bring up really unusual things for us to see--eel, conch, spider starfish and point out many more. The reef was beautiful and we wish we had more time there. After visiting the reef we went back to Caye Caulker to have lunch at the Lazy Lizard(you pre-ordered before you got on the boat so it is ready when you arrive back there). The food wasn't the best, but it is the only thing on the island. We walked around until the boat was ready to take us back to Belize City. We made one more stop to feed the Turpin fish--this was so much fun. They give you sardines you put between your fingers and lean over the boat and the Turpin jump out of the water and grab the fish out of your fingers. We had a great time and it is very entertaining to watch. Like I said the staff were amazing and I would highly recommend this tour whether you are on a cruise ship or not.

Belize Exotic tours is over the top great! We had the best time with our guide Natalie (Nats). From the ruins to the food to the wealth of history and knowledge one of the best excursions of my life. No need to look for another tour guide company when visiting Belize. Can't wait to go back!

An amazing experience of snorkeling through a reef, and getting to swim and pet some Nurse Sharks and Rays. Apollo and Alfredo's team were the absolute greatest and extremely knowledgeable. They knew so much history about the islands and surrounding areas. Highly recommend.

We are looking in doing the kunatunich myan ruins for those that have done it is there a lot of walking involved we have an elderly person going with us would they be able to do this excursion?

They would not be able to climb the Ruins but can sit in the center or Experience the views. The Tour is on the ground and walking the property. The area is not walking from place to place as in a mile or two miles. The Ruins are all in a small area and easily walking the equivalent of a huge lawn. It’s a comfortable walk up a slight hill. It would be better if they were in some sort of wheel chair. The views will be stunning for them whether they climb or not.

Are we only able to pay in cash for the tours? Seems strange.

We didn't pay cash as I booked and paid for it well in advance. All we had to do is show up, get a wristband slapped on and go.

Hello! I'm interested in a snorkeling tour, but my husband injured his back and may not be able to participate. Is there enough to entertain him without joining in the snorkeling? Also, how long/rough would the boat ride be for him? Would the price be the same for him as a 'ride along'? I appreciate any help!
Belize Exotic A
Belize City, Belize
Hi, we will be able to provide the snorkeling tour for the both of you with your husband just riding along the price for him will be the kids rate price $55.00 USD. As for the boat ride out it all depends on how windy it is the boat ride will be 45 minutes to an hour to the site, seating towards the front of the boat will be bumpy if there is lot of wind.the best ride will be at the back of the boat since he has a back problem here he will not have any issue even if it is windy out. what day will you be visiting Belize? thanks

Was there a lot of down time at caulker caye? really not interested in shopping or eating lunch. Really do not know much about Caulker caye. Do you snorkel there? Since we are coming in port on the Carnival Breeze and it is a tender port and Carnival Excursions will have priority on the tenders, how do you set a time to meet Belize Exotic Adventures? Where did you meet them when you got off the tender?
Thanks for more info!

Cruised on the Carnival Dream this past summer and we didn't have a lot of down time at all. The meeting place and time was scheduled when we booked the excursion. We got right off the tender and went outside the terminal to find an exotic adventures rep holding a sign. They took us to a park area to wait on the other parties and then we were taken to their boat. It was a long boat ride and after stopping at an island to order lunch we went snorkeling. We stopped at one area where we were the only boat and saw the reef and marine life then we got back on the boat and went a short distance to snorkel with the sharks and stingrays. There were a lot more boats and people in this area. After snorkeling we went back to the island and ate lunch and got back on the boat to head back to the terminal. When we got back to the terminal we had a few hours to shop then caught a tender back to our ship. It was a great experience! Hope this helps!

Hi, How much will be the private tour for 2 persons for the Altun Ha Maya Ruin Tour? The website says
"Private Tour: $80.00 (minimum 2 pax)"
Is it TOTAL $80 for 2 people, or is it $160 for 2 people?
Thank you!

I was wondering what type of boat you took to the snorkeling location? I ask because the last time we were there we were in a very little boat that kept breaking down. We almost didn't make it back. Was the boat reliable? Thank you for your review, it was very informative.

It was a 28' boat... Open with seats along the side. Also it had a canopy that we could have used but never needed or wanted. The boat seemed reliable and the owners of the company are top notch people.
