You need a guide - you can not just show up at the gate. We used Elias Cambranes who operates out of the Casablanca Guesthouse in San Ignacio. He was friendly, informative, and very well priced (we did the Tikal Tour with him as well)....More

I loved the cave and as some have said it is amazing that you are allowed to do this tour without a waiver, training, or fitness test. I did not love the guide. I booked the tour through my hotel and did not get a...More

I wanted to review the actual cave separately from the tour company I did it with as the cave is amazing but the company was mediocre. After hiking for about 45 minutes, crossing 3 streams you come to a small clearing where you can see...More

I don't know about water levels. But if they say it's ok, then do it. Best tour of my life! Swimming in a dark cave.... you can't beat it.
