Gonzo was an AMAZING guide at Actun Tunichil Muknal. (ATM cave). I was fortunate that my brother and I were the only 2 with Gonzo. He was so knowledgeable about the cave and the Mayan history. He answered all of our questions. He pointed out...More
Amazing. Gonzo is extremely knowledgeable and clearly passionate. He can occasionally get off on a tangent but everything is interesting so it's no problem.
Tour is surprisingly physically challenging. Most things that say 'moderate to strenuous' don't really mean it. This isn't for the faint...More

The trip to Tikal from San Ignacio was $135. that included transportation, border taxes, entrance fees to the site and guided services. I went with my husband, so I don't know if it would be the same rate for one person. While in San Ignacio, I strongly recommend going with River Rat to the ATM cave. Have a wonderful trip!
