Kelley (18) and I just got back from a fantastic 12-day trip on Aggressor 2. We traveled to Cocos Island - Coast Rica to get on a 210’ live-aboard ship and go diving. We did 24 dives over 7 days, with 36-hrs each way to and from the island. The trip was a blast - water was perfect, the crew... More

Situated around 500km away from Puntarenas, is a 36 hours sailing trip (with good weather) and 30 hours back (aprox). Unless you do a diving trip (I went there with Okeanos Aggressor I ) or you go there as volunteer, I'm not sure you can go. Beautiful island (used for aerial views for Jurassic Park), with an amazing big animals... More

I visited Cocos Island for 10 days aboard the Okeanos Aggressor I. The crossing was pretty brutal, even the Costa Rican park rangers riding on the vessel got sea sick. There were just a handful of people who didn't get sick. I doubled up on Dramamine and was ok. There had recently been a freak hurricane and I wonder if... More

I visited Cocos Island aboard the Sea Hunter of the Undersea Hunter Group in September. It's understandable to me why divers revere this place. The diving is extraordinary. I was with one shipboard acquaintance who was visiting for the 5th time. The close views of Hammerhead and Galapagos sharks are hard to believe. At one cleaning station, hammerheads were passing... This remote island is a UNESCO heritage site. The underwater wildlife is magnificent . I was able to see hammerhead sharks, white tip reef sharks, eagle rays, turtles, Galapagos sharks, tiger sharks, turtles. I had the opportunity to go with the Aggressor fleet aboard the Okeanos Aggressor #1. The trip to Cocos is a big investment of time and money... More

We took the Okeanos Aggressor 11 May 28 of 2016. Our 36 hour trip was uneventful. This is our 6th Aggressor Liveaboard. The boat was somewhat in need of repair and some of the rooms lacked attention and cleanliness. We saw a number of amazing sharks. The currents were extremely strong, and some dives were more than challenging. Make sure... More

Diving Cocos National Park has been on my bucket list for 5 years now since first learning about it. We were very fortunate that our 36 hour crossing was smooth. Every dive is a warm deep dive and in current, most times in very STRONG current, not for the beginning diver. The panga drivers have eagle eyes; my dive buddy's... More

I took part in one of the 10-day trips to Cocos, on early January 2016, and it was an amazing experience. My husband and I were picked up in a hotel in San Jose in the morning and got in Puntarenas around 1pm. From there, we departed to Cocos. Navigation was easy and after around 33h we arrived in Cocos... More

Cocos Island should be on any divers bucket list. The waters around the island are teeming with Hammerheads, Galapagos, White-tip and even a few Tiger sharks! Exhilarating diving! The island itself doesn't seem quite real. There are numerous waterfalls tumbling from the islands lush cliffs to the sea; it doesn't look real.
