Daniel and his team were simply fantastic!! I've done my share of treks around the world; Daniel is one of the best guides. My boyfriend and I did a difficult/technical overnight camping trek with Daniel and Felix to the active Santiaguito volcano in Xela. What...More

Even though hiking up the volcano Tajumulco, the highest point in Central America, is probably the best and most stunning experience I've ever had in my life I can only give 2 points. But first the pros: Daniel, the owner, is very nice and friendly...More

We did a 3 day hike from Xela to Atitlan with Xela adventure two weeks ago. The hike takes you through Maya villages and beautiful landscapes. The experience was very unique- we stayed with local families, cooked with them, visited their plantations and played with...More

Great experience. The view in the mountains is amazing, and it was organised very well. The guides are very friendly, and funny. They tell about the history of the region, if you need help they help you without a problem. Also sleeping in houses of...More

Daniel turned up promptly and spoke good English. His knowledge of the birds was great - he found me several new species. He tried very hard to get Olive Warbler for me but we had no luck - I suspect that if I was fitter...More

I booked the tour to Laguna Chicabal via Email and they were responding very quickly. The walk was nice and the guide Daniel just great! He's very knowledgeable and explains a lot about geography, birdlife and the Mayan culture. Thanks a lot!

I have nothing but good words to say about the trip. We came a little unprepared but ultimately everything turned out more than ok. Tajumulco is a real treat and i would strongly advise anyone to choose the overnight option. Bring warm clothes with you...More

Our guide, Daniel, was a great mix of fun, polite, and nerdy about plants, birds, and Mayan spiritual practices. You'll be in good hands with this trilingual (Spanish, English, Quiche), local guide who takes evident pride in showing people the natural and cultural beauty of...More

I booked two trips with Xela Adventures during my time there--the first to Cerro Quemado and the second to Laguna de Chicabal. The price was very reasonable, especially considering that, since I was booking alone, I was the only one on both tours! My guide...More

Used this company to organise a hike up Santa Maria, various markets tours and shuttle transport. Email response was quick and important when time is limited. Thanks to the crew at Xela Adventures for all their help.
