This is a beautiful peaceful beach within walking distance of the port for cruise ships. There are free beach chairs and attendants will bring food and drinks. Palm trees provide some shade. There are showers and lockers and beach equipment rentals for a fee. The water is crystal clear with no current and safe for young children. A walk further... More

I have never been to Mahogany Bay. I did not think I was going to be a fan of this place, since there are a lot of people, due to the Cruise Ships. I usually stay on the West side of the Island. I have been coming to Roatan, since before cruise ships came to the island, almost every day.... More

Beautiful tourist attraction walking distance from the Pier! If you want to swim, sun tanned, dance, sports, drink, dance, water sports, hike, shop, etc., Mahogany Beach has it all. The locals were humble, hardworking and friendly. I wish I'd could explore Roatán per se (aka leaving the "tourist bubble"), but this place has it all! Have fun!!!

We were there on a cruise and although I really wanted to like this place, the diesel fumes in the air, and the obvious sheen of diesel fuel on top of the water was damned awful. The swimming beach is protected by an oil boom, so I reckon they are quite aware of this problem. However, snorkeling off the pier... More

This would have been a great place on a sunny day but it turned out ok on a rainy day. We rented a cabana for the 4 of us (actually had 3 cabanas for our group). We waited on the ship for the rain to stop and then headed out. They were so nice to give us 3 cabanas next... More

I love riding the sky chairs to the beach. Not the most beautiful beach in the world, but it is a great value.

I only got to spend about 40 minutes at the beach on this trip, but the water was cool, clear and refreshing. The sand was nice and clean, and the time I made it there it was not too crowded, so I really enjoyed it.

Seriously, there are so many amazing beaches and spots to enjoy El Caribe, and this one is really bad. Too many people, everything so sadly fake. The perfect way to ruin a nice place? This place...

The favorite spot for my sons to snorkel and find treasures in the water. They love this beach and we've been there several times. Lots of fish to see. Plenty of shade trees. Food and beverages available. Lounge chairs available. Snorkel & floats available for rent.

Don't believe the bad reviews. The water is clear as long as it hasn't recently rained. I could see the blue on my toenails and my husband was chasing fish w/ his underwater camera. This place is like paradise & the locals are kind hard-workers. I purchased handmade dolls & brackets from a 19yr that ran her own stand. Afterwards we... More
