We stayed at North Shore and, after touring the island, was so glad we did. From beautiful beaches to green mountain sides to local culture, the North Shore has it all. The sunsets on Sunset Beach can't be beat and there are so many little private beaches if you'll just walk a bit. The surf can get rough at North... More

Its worth to spend one day on the road (if you have a car) and explore many lookpoints, clifs, beaches.

The North Shore is where the waves are at. It's a bit of a drive to get here from Waikiki but well worth it. Great place to watch surfers or a sunset.

The North Shore is more than a single beach. It is the entire north end of the island. When the surf is high, this is where the surfing competitions are held. When it is not, this is where you want to go to see how the locals live and play. Scuba diving is common at Three Tables and Sharks Cove,... More

I grew up in Hawaii and remember visiting the North Shore to hunt for shells. We've returned to Oahu many times since then, and never miss a visit to the North Shore. Its a beautiful area. During the fall and winter months, the waves and the surfers are impressive to watch. There are several beaches in the area with public... More

We visited the North Shore several times during our 8 days on Oahu. We thought it was the most beautiful part of the island. During our ventures we saw sea turtles at Laniakea (Turtle) Beach, tried several shaved ices, visited the Polynesian Cultural Center, shopped in Haleiwa, tried the shrimp trucks, saw pineapple and even coffee fields, and of course... We didn't get to spend a great deal of time here but definitely enjoyed the views. The Van's Surfing competition was going on so it was really crowded and difficult to drive through the area but the waves were intense.

The North Shore is a must see in Oahu and it a vast contrast to Waikiki. It was great watching the surfers and the big waves.

The visit to the North Shore was amazing. Sun and surf is what it is all about. We went to Turtle Bay and stopped at the Inn for a drink, beautiful! We went to the new Roy's at Turtle Bay for lunch. The location was good if you were seated in the front, but we sat further back and only... More
