We took a tour in the Kualao Ranch boat to go and see Chinaman's Hat from nearby and it was nice, water was calm and nice sunny day. Lots of fun. We also went to the beach across to take picture of Chinaman's Hat (park right across from Kualao Ranch) and that was nice and peaceful too.

We saw this from a bus tour but would have liked to stop for some photos. If you are a photographer at heart you must stop here for a few photos. Also, just down the street, on the side of a building is an artist's rendition of this land mass and a photo of it is a must as well.

There are numerous places along Kam Highway to view this islet. I think the best is from Kualoa Regional Park. Makes a nice picture.

The GPS took us to a park with a clear view of Chinaman's Hat. Cool to see and stop by, don't need a lot of time to spend on this stop.

We stopped here for a while the views were amazing, fantastic photo opportunity!! Not much of a beach at all. Lots of space to picnic though.

We stopped here to take photos while on a bus tour. It was a place you could take a picnic and just relax. There were so many shaded areas to enjoy as well. It's a great place for that perfect photo opportunity

This the spot from the movie 50 First Dates, in which, this island shows up in the first scene. Well, the ocean and its beach are so beautiful. Quite pleasant to be there but personally, I do not know why it became a tourist spot. Anyway, it is good to look around once if you are in the north shore... More

Saw this place on our circle island bus tour. It gets you as close as you can be without going into the water. Perfect photo op.

Chinaman's Hat is the symbol of the water wonderland off the coast of Windward Oahu. This area is unique among Hawaii's ocean environments. Kona has drop-offs so close that fishermen leaving the harbor drop their lines at the markers and catch 100Lbs Ahi within minutes. Here there are far-off islands and beaches even skiffs can frequent. The denizens of the... More
