We stayed in Gilmore Loop, which has paved roads and fairly level paved sites. Great location just miles from main highway to Coeur d'Alene. Very clean and well looked after. Right on a nice large lake, miles of hiking trails and a historic navy museum within the park. The sites in the Gilmore loop are big and can accommodate large... More

Nice park. Hook up are few and far between. No cell signal usually so you won't be disturbed. No TV that's any good. Quiet and peaceful. Forested,

We only stayed here for one night before we went to the campground at silverwood. I wish we would have stayed here the whip time instead. What a lovely place. Beautiful trees campsites with power. Lots of stuff for younger kids to do. The lake was amazing and the whole place was quiet. We will definitely be back again.

Go see this museum! From 1942-46 this was a HUGE naval training station. Lots of memorabilia from the station. Very interesting and we'll done.

This is a Naval training base, now State Park. We spent only a short amount of time here, but stunning facility, nice staff and just a beautiful place. The campgrounds appeared clean and well taken care of. We hear there is a great museum there but was closed ( we got here at 5 pm Sunday evening). The views of... More

While visiting Silverwood, we booked cabins at Farragut State Park (ours was Ninebark) to stay in. The cabins had beautiful views overlooking the lake. Closest outhouses were the least stinkiest ever, likely due to low density of users in the area. Closest flush toilets are a 5min walk away at the boat launch. Cabins were cozy, sleeps 5 (bunk +... What a beautiful place! The lake is so lovely, there are numerous hiking trails that are easy to find and easy to navigate. I'm sure there are more challenging trails, but I stuck to the smaller ones. Beaches to die for and so many beautiful trees. Plus there's the historical aspect of this park, which is so unexpected in such... More

Great coming back, great sites, great location, close to silerwood, loved the locals in Athol who gave us a place where to get wood.
