Well, this is sad. A stunning post office building you can only observe from the outside, as it is completely closed to tourists. As with many things in Algiers, it will reopen "soon" as a postal museum.
The central post office is classical Algerian style building, located among European colonized buildings. There are so many shops, good restaurants and cafe. Not far to have a good view to see Mediterranean Sea! It’s worthy to spend Saturday afternoon there!

Renovated grande poste and all the neighborhood as well makes Algiers center very good place to visit.
You can go by metro and visit the areas; Didouche Mourad and Hassiba Ben Bouali streets and the sea front walk toward place des martyres.
