Non Muslims cannot enter this mosque and university, but you can look inside from the many gates. This was built in the 800s and then the tile work was added in the 1400s from the Spanish influence. You might be able to take a photo...More

This is the oldest university in the world (I believe this is what we were told), plus it is absolutely gorgeous. It is one of the few mosques in the country that non-muslims are allowed to enter.

Kairaouine Mosque is positioned in heart of the oldest part of Fes el Bali. If you happen to be anywhere on hills above city or in the most of rooftops in medina you will most likely be able to recognize area by the big minarets...More

We only saw it from the outside as non Muslims are not allowed to go inside. But it was very beautiful!

wasn't able to get inside as prayers time was going on when I was there. Not sure if you are allowed in at other times. architecture and colourful ceramic tiles are gorgeous

Unfortunately not: every part of the university is off-limits for non-Muslims.
