    Amazing!
The Al-Attarine Medersa is stunning! The designs along the walls are so intricate and the attention to detail is incredible! Also, there are two levels a part from the main entrance that have good view of the Fes Medina. I highly recommend!

    Gorgeous
Absolutely my favorite site in all of Fez. We went in the late afternoon and had the place to ourselves. Due to recent restoration work, this was the best preserved of the three madrasas we visited that day. The masonry and carpentry wonderfully done. The dormitory rooms on the second and third floors provide some good views of the streets below and the Kairouan University/mosque nearby.

    Best place in Fes
The Al Attarine Madrasa is a 14th century school for Islamic studies in the heart of madina, Fes. It was used to house students who came from outside the city. It's a magnificent structure, built with multicolored mosaic tiles, marble, wood, carved ceramic tile. Every bit of the structure is just beautiful, one can spend hours appreciating them. It's the most beautiful structure in Fes.

    Better than Bou Inania madrasa
If you have to visit just one madrasa in Fes, go for this one. Smaller that Bou Inania, less visited than this one (which means quiter) and with more beautiful tiles and plasterwork. You have access to the students' cells on upper floors, from where you can catch glimpes of streets bellow and, partially, the views of the rooftops and central court of Kairaouine mosque.

Smaller than others but very historical
This Madrasa is a small historical site with many intricately designed architecture. A guide will help you get through it quickly but is not necessary because of the size. For me, the buildings did not have the wow factor from what i have seen in other cities. Noneltehwas if you are avoiding the crowds then there is the place to visit.

Quiet and beautiful madrasa tucked within the medina!
The Al-Attarine Madrasa is a nice oasis within the chaos of the median. It has beautiful tiled floors and walls, archways and white stucco. The upper floors have nice carved wooden window frames with windows overlooking the courtyard. It is good to visit with a knowledgeable local guide to understand better the features.

Inside the Medina, we went to Al Attarine Madrasa, and amazing architecture as this is the first building we visited not counting the ruins and museums previous day. They use a special technique to make arches with great details called “stucco muqarnas”. Apparently, they use egg yolk in molding and thus allowing more time to finish up intricate details before it is set.

It is one of the oldest religious school where kids from different places come here to study. Lots of history with amazing architecture.

It is not very big, but it is beautiful. You can come on 2 levels and it is absolutely worth the visit. Just walk around for 10-15 minutes and enjoy the beauty. It was 20 dirham per person and it is so worth it. Visit this place!

The intricately made windows and balconies of this building are exquisite. The detail on everything , so painstakingly done . The calligraphy ( Arabic , cursive , and kufi) is still perfectly written and can be read clearly . These gems in the old Medina are definitely worth a visit .

I paid 20 DH for solo admittance to this attraction (£0.16) + it was well worth the fee. You are able to also go upstairs a few levels in the madrasa + explore. I loved looking out the windows to see the hustle + bustle of the medina below. Definitely the most beautiful structure that I saw in Fes while I was there for my 3 night stay.

Very impressed by the beautiful and intricately designed Islamic architecture. Beautiful tile work. Beautiful inner courtyard. Students came here to study the Quran. Not being Muslim, we were fortunate to have a good guide who was able to explain the associated history, customs and traditions. Having a good guide makes all the difference in appreciating this place.
