The manager of our riad suggested we hire a guide to tour Marrakech and he was right!
If you want to wonder around the souks and historic locations to get a fell for this wonderful place, you can do that on your own. But you're likely to miss out on the neighborhood bread baker, that special restaurant, a visit with your guide's friend who runs a third generation leather shop and factory, when to avoid the lines at popular tourist locations and so much more.
For that - you need Mohamed! Benabad!

Personalized and extremely educational tour. Our guide Mo was incredibly knowledgeable and taught our private group so much about the rich history of Marakech. Reasonably priced. Super memorable experience. Very grateful and highly recommend.

We are planning to visit Marrakesh in December and found Marrakech Guided Experience travel agency and guides. Just wanted to say so far Youseff has been a pleasure to plan with. His suggested itineraries sound excellent and we can't wait to take the tours he has proposed.

Mohamed was great! The tour included a wide variety of foods to provide us with a taste of Morocco. It was a four hour tour, well worth it! Just roaming around the Medina was fascinating with all the sights and sounds. Mohamed looked after us well, he was kind, informative and always had a smile on his face. I highly recommend this tour.

Our guide Said gave us the perfect tour, first we thought, he is a bit quick, but with that we had the chance to see a lot. He speaks perfect German and is very knowledgable and friendly. He advised us aswell where to go and what to be carefull for while we went through the souk

Hassan was our tour guide. He was friendly and funny from the start. Since it was a private tour of my boyfriend and me we were able to customize the tour to what we wanted to do. Highly recommend a private tour with Hassan.

Muhammad was nice, but we get the sense he was being paid by the shops. He mentioned he could take us where we wanted to go, but then didn’t make those places a priority. Instead, we were led into shops of his choosing where it was difficult to get the shop keepers to stop a long presentation with the inherent pressure to purchase. Since we chose a tour to protect us from this experience, it gave us the false sense of security. He didn’t offer any advice on how to negotiate and what a fair price might be. Since the culture is new to us, this would have been very helpful.

Mohamed was simply fantastic! Very knowledgeable and engaging, took us through tiny back alleys that we never would’ve had the chance to experience. Gave us some history and answered all of our questions. What I thought was very cool and different was that he paid for us to have some local dinner (AMAZING traditional Moroccan beef dish) and also gave each of us a bag of personally mixed nuts at a local souk shop. All in all, so happy we did this and it’s a great way to experience Morocco at night!

Private walking tour is the way to go, close up and personal great way to see not only the historical sights but the bustle of the markets. Great shopping for leather goods. Stopover at the Cafe de Paris is a must.

Hello - I just booked your colorful souk walking tour (for Oct.22) because it showed up under Tangier tours on TripAdvisor. I realized too late that the tour is not in Tangier but in Marrakech. Unfortunately I won’t be in Marrakech. Can you please refund my money? Thanks!
