Suzanne and her team at clik-trip photo provide an excellent photo experience. Suzanne lived in Marrakech for several years and knows the city inside & out. She takes you to all the back ally ways/ beautiful archways/ provides great feedback and helps w/your photography ensuring you get the photos you want. Suzanne is friendly & very professional. Well worth the price to see and photograph Marrakech with someone who really knows what she is doing. Highly recommend Suzanne or anyone that works w/her.

We spent 3 days with Suzanne in April 2018 and really enjoyed our trip with her. We visited Marrakech, Essaouira, the Atlas Mountains and the Agafay desert. Although this seems like a jam packed itinerary for 3 days it was still relaxing as everything was organised and we still got some chill time.

Suzanne was a fantastic dedicated photo guide with extensive knowledge about Morocco. Pre trip communication was prompt and informative and the trip ran very smoothly. Suzanne is a very experienced photographer who provided us many handy photography tips throughout our trip. She also took lots of photos of us and provided them to us after our trip.

We got on fantastically well with Suzanne and really enjoyed spending time with her, comparing travel notes, discussing photography experiences and sharing a wine or two.

Suzanne is a native English speaker who also speaks French and a little Arabic.

Our highlights were wandering the medina’s, and visiting local families in the desert and mountains.

We wouldn’t have any hesitation recommending Suzanne. She has now set the benchmark for photography guides and we wish we could find comparable guides in every country we visit!

I can't say enough about the amazing day I had with Suzanne. I've taken photo tours before, but this was by far the best. Suzanne has not only lived in Morocco, but has built a relationship with the people of Marrakech making for a unique experience. Suzanne is professional, personable and knowledgeable. There was a huge difference between how I was shooting in the morning and at the end of the day. Suzanne was very responsive while setting up the trip and even stopped by my riad the day before to make sure she knew exactly where it was. We spent 12 hours together and I got all the shots I was hoping for plus more. I met the loveliest people and had a very local experience. I highly recommend booking a photo experience with Suzanne.

We were a group of three photographers wanting an experience in Marrakesh, particularly the Medina. What better way to do this then through the well known,English photographer,Suzanne Porter, who lives in France and Marrakesh. We hired her for three days-two days in the Medina and one day in the Atlas Mountains. The Medina is a very crowded place with small alleys and full of touts and unwanted guides and others who force their attention on you.Suzanne, guides you to the right places you want to see and photograph, without having the hassle of dealing directly with the unknown.Hidden gems, interesting people, artisans, small alleys, monuments, eating and refreshment places and so on are on her list. She has over the years built a fantastic relationship with people and artisans in the Medina and villages in the Atlas mountains. She hands over to them personal photographs taken by her and other small gifts.People who would normally not want their photographs taken open up to her and permit photographs by her customers. Suzanne opened the gates for us to a very nice family in the Atlas mountains, where we photographed the entire family in a very personal setting. We would not have been able to do this ourselves, without Suzanne.Suzanne, guides you on photography techniques.Despite being a photographer,I further enhanced my knowledge with Suzanne's help of taking high contrast photographs in the small alleys in the Medina where the light is contrasting. We had a very interesting session photographing the Koutoubia Mosque in silhouette. We enjoyed taking portraits. She reviews your photographs and gives her feedback. Suzanne is amiable, tolerant, reliable and sensitive.I would strongly recommend her exclusive personalised tours.

I went with a friend in June to see Marrakech and it's surroundings for the first time. In some ways June is not an ideal time to visit. We had planned to go to Iceland but after meeting in a pub to discuss booking the trip, we somehow became distracted and booked flights to Marrakech. Pub being the key word in that sentence. Having booked our flights it did not take long the following morning to establish that temperatures might be in the mid-40 degrees centigrade......
When we arrived in the city a couple on months later that was indeed the case and it took a few hours to adjust to the searing heat. However, we did feel that we experienced the country as the locals have to. On the second day we met up with Suzanne, but by that time, we were of course veterans, and barely noticed the temperatures. Suzanne led us for a long but fascinating tour of the Medinah which took in many of the usual sites plus many more off the beaten track. In a country where photographing people can be a difficult affair, due to their reluctance to have their image captured in any way, it was fantastic to have Suzanne and a local guide to smooth our way.

Day three was spent visiting Berber camel herders and small villages in the mountains. Suzanne was very skilled at letting a situation develop so that initial wariness on the part of the locals was often replaced by open friendliness and a willingness to be photographed.

My friend and I were both delighted with what we were able to see and capture over the two days and would highly recommend a trip with Suzanne.

Suzanne tours you around hidden spots in Marrakech and allows you access into places you would not normally think to (or dare to!) go. Marrakech is a city full of people who do not want their photographs taken - but Suzanne paves the way. Sometimes with a few coins, but usually by befriending the shopkeeper or artisan. She carries a packet of pictures she's taken from her last tour and the people are delighted to receive a photograph and allow new ones.
You will go inside doors you'd never dare knock on and take intimate portraits of people you'd never otherwise meet. She can also teach you to take better photographs - but we'll assume if you're interested in paying someone a fairly significant amount of money to take you on a photo tour, you already have the fundamentals down. She excels at access. I was very pleased with my experience and think it was worth every cent.

My husband and I are keen amateur photographers from New Zealand. I am a novice, he has had a few years on me. We are couple in our fifties. Initially we had a number of skype chats with Suzanne to establish what we needed, wanted, and what she could put together. Suzanne's experience in Morocco was invaluable. Initially we thought of going in July (the hottest month), so Suzanne suggested going in late June arriving a the end of Ramadan. This gave us the opportunity to take photos during this celebration.
We did a five day tour (just us, Suzanne, and our lovely driver and Arabic translator, Badr, and a four wheel drive). The tour included four days travelling in the Atlas Mountains and One day tour of Marrakesh. We had camel rides, sleeping in the desert in a Bedouin tent, met many wonderfully generous people, attending a market, enjoying the food, and experienced the Awash (traditional Berber dancing) in a private home.
Suzanne was a fabulous host, who took all the stress away. She supported and encouraged us to learn how to photograph in Manual only. As a consequence our photography ability, and confidence, has done a huge leap. We had a variety of very challenging extreme light conditions to deal with. I would have avoided photographing in these conditions before this trip, but now know what I need to do.
If you want a challenge without the stress, and a personal experience, you find it with Suzanne. We would not hesitate to join her on another tour somewhere else.

I have had the most amazing two days with Suzanne. She could not have been more helpful or generous with her knowledge and time.

It was with a little trepidation that I gave her an outline of what I wanted and then gave her free rein. It could not have been better. She is very good at preparatory work and we had several email conversations and an on-line chat before the trip.

I had a half day going round the souks and tanneries (not recommended on a dodgy stomach) and some very good advice on how to blend in to the background for street photography. We also visited bakeries, hammam stokers, a doughnut maker and various working areas in the medina.

The second half of the day was a visit to a farmer and his family in the Agafay desert with a camel ride and meal in a local village. All done effortlessly which, to me, means it had been very well planned.

The second day we went to a village market in the High Atlas, where we met our contact, a villager from the area, for a breakfast of broadbean soup. We then accompanied him round the market, where he was doing his shopping for the week, and took him on the hour's drive to his village. He welcomed us into his home where we met his family, he showed us round his village, we had snowball fights with the local kids and chatted to some of the villagers. We then returned to his house for lunch before setting off back down the mountain.

I would recommend Suzanne without hesitation and am so glad I got in touch with her. It was an amazing experience and I am already planning my next trip to Morocco.

I booked a full days Photography training with Suzanne last September and had a wonderful time. Following an early morning meet up and a much needed coffee with a chat about the day ahead, we proceeded into the first location of the day which was the Tannery where the leather is prepared. The odour of the pre-treated leather skins is certainly one I will never forget, but you do get used to it and there are some great photographic opportunities of the craftsmen at work.

We then moved onto to an area where the leather is auctioned off, before heading on to see how the material is crafted into many fantastic products. In addition Suzanne took me to various areas around the Souks and tight Marrakech passageways to give me some valuable experience in street photography.

A well earned lunch was followed by a few more stop offs at various street traders, for a mixture of both photographic opportunities and a chance to experience some traditional culture with very warm hospitality.

Our day finished with a chance to photographic the main square as it came to life at dusk.

I have to say this was a wonderful day to remember not only for giving me a chance to experience life within Marrakech, but for the opportunity to photograph this beautiful city with some challenging lighting conditions. Suzanne’s very easy going style makes you feel like you are back with an old friend within a short space of time, while getting you into locations to test you as a photographer.

Whether you are serious about your photography or just want to sample the city with some holiday photographs, this has to be the trip for you. I very rarely leave reviews but I wanted to share my day so others could enjoy too.

I spent an amazing day in Marrakech with Suzanne Porter! It's a given that Marrakech is fascinating and Suzanne's talents and expertise helped me capture some of the city's charms.

I had become lazy over the years with my photography skills (relying on my DSLR's program mode) and so I asked Suzanne to challenge me to shoot all day on manual mode. Though she would have taught me, I did not need to learn the various terms (e.g. what is aperture, ISO, shutter speed, etc) but she prompted me to apply these parameters in challenging, real-life conditions. Whew--my brain was tired by the end of the day! However, I've not looked back and have been disciplined to continue shooting in manual mode. It was helpful that Suzanne was shooting as well and I could compare settings for various shots when I was having trouble. Plus, it's educational to watch how someone else approaches a situation photographically.

Other skills I learned and/or polished with Suzanne:
--including people in my images and how to blend into a scene so that the camera becomes less intimidating
--reportage photography; we spent quite a bit of time at the tannery capturing images to tell a story of the location and workers
--challenging conditions and how to deal with them: high contrast, low light, motion, etc
--how to anticipate conditions during a photo shoot and have the camera (and myself) ready
--how to approach scenes that piqued my interest and how to capture them better
--how to work in somewhat camera-shy Marrakech; Suzanne has a winning way interacting with locals and I applied those techniques during the rest of my time in Morocco

We also discussed elements of the photography business and I appreciated her candor and generosity of knowledge. She was fun to spend the day with!

My eyes, skills and images have improved 100% since my class with Suzanne. I highly recommend a trek around Marrakech with her and her (and will re-engage when I head back there)!
