The Museum holds a collection garnered by a Private Collector and is housed in a great building which has been extensively restored. REALLY difficult to find! If you ask for directions - these are willingly given and guided BUT expect to give a thank you tip. We thought that at 50 dirhams the entry fee was a bit steep -... More

The museum is in an old palace that has been beautifully restored. The building is as much on display as artefacts; there is not an extensive collection of exhibits, but what the museum does have is displayed in a most unique manner.

Worth a short visit if interested in beautiful large domed court. Items shown scantly displayed. Interim artist displays. Went with tour group or would easily have missed this site.

It costs 50 dirhams (£4.50) to get in but there is little to see. There is a very nice tiled square and a few objects in cases. Everything is written in French so best to bring a dictionary. There are paintings to buy as well as a few other things. I stayed to take some photos of the square so... More

Beautifully and lovingly restored building with many artifacts giving an insight into ancient Morrocco. The main internal courtyard takes your breath away.

The museum was a lot smaller than I expected. The building was beautiful and there was a mix of things to see. However everything was in French so it was hard to understand what things were.

The reason for my low score is because the lack of English, this has been setup solely for French speakers which is quite unfair as I love Marrakech but I don't want to have to use google translate every 5 minutes. Apart from this it is a lovely museum and I'm sure once they have their languages set out properly... More

The museum is stunning inside, a beautiful building. There was a great exhibition of modern art on while I was there but unfortunately the website does not seem to be updated to provide the artist's name. It's something I would pop in to do while I was in the area rather than going specifically.

Located near to Madrassa Ben Youssef this museum is in an old house and is a good stop to see architecture of Morocco. Must originally have been the house of someone wealthy, it is large and typically built around a central courtyard, the main feature of which is its huge lantern; the building also had its own Hammam. The exhibitions... More

In addition to being a beautiful building, there are several interesting exhibits. An artist paints and sells small cards, including personalized pictures. Downstairs there is an exhibit of his art.
