Leave your hotel ready to spend hours getting lost. The people are very very helpful with directions. Just remember there is life outside the medina and it is the ultimate tourist trap. The wares and goods are often available for much cheaper outside the medina. Don't be overwhelmed by items that you think are one of a kind. They aren't.... More

Mint tea - always ask for mint tea it's so delicious and watch the sunset and eat into the night at a rooftop bar - it's just priceless and calming

Busy and colourful area with lots of shops and sellers, but also a place where locals live their lives. Children coming home from school, mums and babies. people mending motor bikes. A mixture of kids, cats and colour.

Typical North African medina, if you've not experienced one this is ideal with several terrace areas to observe proceedings

I have been to the grand bazar in instanbul, which I enjoyed. Medina is busier, more chaotic and quite smelly. If bargaining is your thing, knock yourself out. If not, you ll spend an awful lot of time bargaining and negotiating ridiculous prices. Beware of the "friendly locals" who tell you not to go down this street because "it's closed.... More

The Medina is the heart and soul of the Marrackech city. The variety of souks is incredible. from food to clothes to leather goods. It is a maze of shops with enthusiastic merchants anxious to sell you goods. Great negotiation skills are helpful! and definitely great people. recommend it.

I spent 3 days in Marrakech and will not return. Firstly the average people are not welcoming in any way and seem to have no pride in their country. Don't get me wrong there is good people there but if you meet a stranger if money is not in it for them then don't expect any help. The food is... More

Medina is an old town within Marrakesh. It a a walled city with a maze of Riads (road), you can get lost, but many lead you to the Square (Jemal Fina). The square is bustling all the time and Medina streets are all shops, whose are trying to illicit money out of you. The prices have a 500% markup so... More
