A very busy and interesting place. Lots of things to see and do. My wife got a monkey put on her head which wasn't appreciated. The fresh orange juice is plentiful, cheap and lovely. You do get harassed by shop keepers but don't let them bully you. I'm glad I went but I won't rush back.

Having stayed and explored here i would much rather stay in the new town of marrakech where people maintain their traditional values and markets but in a much less aggressive manner

What can I say, when visiting Marrakech you have to visit the Medina both during the day and night but he prepared to be hassled constantly. From walking up to the Medina we were stopped to buy fake watches, sunglasses, leather bracelets, henna tattoos, bangles and that was just the start. Some would leave you when you said no thank you... Beautiful, colourful, vibrant and busy the Medina is definitely worth a visit. Look out for pickpockets though, and stray cats spray urine up everything so don't select items at floor level.

Walking is a little precarious as pavement uneven. and you should be ready to get pestered. Its worth it jst to buy a FEZ as we did for our grandson WES||||

Coming to Marrakech, we also didn't let this one pass. Great view and everything is so natural. Made our trip to Morocco worth while.

A great place to shop -- and stop by stall #25 for a great authentic, inexpensive dinner of tagine, fries and grilled meats.

Beware the moment you get your camera out you'll be accosted by someone demanding money. Then you'll get asked constantly to buy whatever they have for sale then as you go past you can hear them making derogatory remarks - not pleasant. Then we got lost and used google maps to find our way but they still won't leave you... More
