A real feel of Marrakech comes alive during the visit to the medina. Lots of small stall holders selling there wares. The further into the medina you go you find traders making leather goods, jewellery and carpets. Traders will ask you to come and look at there stalls or shop but once you say No they will leave you alone.... More

Be wary of the henna ladies - they can be a little aggressive. Don't take pictures of the locals unless you are happy to give them money - they will ask if you want to take their photo and then expect cash

An enclosed area of the town that has survived centuries. It includes large entertainment areas, souks and tanneries. It is possible to spend days here and still not see it all

Great atmosphere and very interesting visiting the souks. You have to be aware that the haggling is all part of the experience. Wherever you go there is always something interesting to see and you soon wonder how you go from buying some argan oil to be in the shop keepers brothers carpet shop next door! A great experience and plenty... More

Love the medina square, and the souks, be careful of pick pockets, a very safe location, markets hosts an abundance of food, and spices.

Most things were hugely overpriced, people asking double what I had seen things for in other places in the country and refusing to bargain down.

Had a lovely time shopping and eating but kept getting bothered by traders and begging kids that were sent by the mother to take money from you

Marrakech's medina and souk are well worth a visit. The passageways are wider than many others we've visited. People are friendly and helpful, and the variety of goods and services are extensive. We had no issues of any kind, though it is always smart to be mindful of the potential for petty crime (e.g., snatching a cell phone being used... More
