Although you are not allowed to go inside the palace, it is still interesting to see from the outside from an architectural and historical standpoint. Plus, you’ll get a breather from the hustle and bustle of the center of town.

Like many places in Morroco, the palace is in construction, so you won't see anything worth the 10dh you pay to get in. But it will certainly be worth it! They really are building something great. Don't pay the extra 10dh to see the big chair, it is really really not close to be worth it.

We saw the place on the way to the Atlas Mountains, unfortunately you can only see walls and palm trees which are outside. The place is not open to tourists or anyone local to visit.

We saw the palace on the way in to Marrakech and again on our way out. As most comments have indicated, there are only walls and a well guarded gate---the palace itself is well hidden behind the walls and not accessible to tourists. This was and is last in terms of sights to see.

A pleasant and understated environment of a palace blending into its environment. Wonderful choice on a hot day...

This palace is extremely well guarded and you cannot see through the entrance gate , never mind get in . Its a huge place and worth seeing just to be able to say you have seen it . For something a little different there are a range of guards and security type men so see how many you can spot... More

You can't see the inside, only the walls and it's absolutely huge. You can get a pretty decent idea of the whole palace just by driving by. No need to stop.

Of course you might as well drive by here it is the ROYAL PALACE but you can't go in and it is completely closed out by walls and tall palms so there is really nothing to see but the wall. Do walk or drive by but don't make it a MUST if you are short on time. Also! You are... More

This place worth visiting, the whole city buildings have same color, very nice touristic city. it offers a tranquil oasis of calm city compared to other Moroccan cities.

We did not enter the palace, only walked the perimeter. We were taking pictures of the main entrance when we were approached by the guard demanding to see and then delete ever picture we took. Very strange. It is a nice walk though

According to my mobile City walk guide "a must see". According to me "nothing to see". Policemen demanding you delete your picture of a wooden door doesn't improve things. Stay away!
