Being a small town, Meknes seems to be less pushy and more safe and secure. The Square is a vibrant and lively place where you can enjoy the entertainment, crowd, and the observe the people at leisure without being hustled constantly.

It is large and very active in early evening. For tourists it is less of a hustle to walk around and get the authentic feel of the local bazar

The square was filled with performers including snake charmers, and dancers. There were plenty of people selling goods and food was nearby. This is absolutely worth the visit - just be prepared many of the vendors can be pushy.
