Chellah is fairly close to the heart of Rabat so it's worth a quick visit. In addition to the ruins, there's a spring-fed creek and a mini-oasis on the grounds. And, depending when you visit, you'll see countless storks flying about while building nests.

Interesting archeological site containing a variety of levels of ancient civilisations. A bit haphazard,no facilities other than toilets.

This is in the outskirts of Rabat, and consists of both Roman and 14th century Merenid ruins. When one enters, the Roman ruins are on the left and the Merenid on the right. The Arabic ruins are better preserved, and you can walk through a multitude of different rooms, as well as a small garden. An interesting feature is all... More

This restaurant is good for date nights or grown up dinner, not for kids. The food is good, atmosphere is very cozy. Good service. There is a band and nice music. They serve alcohol as well.

There are ancient Roman ruins combined with an ancient Mausoleum. Today, there are some jazz events organized out here, or you can come and walk around the grounds for 10dh. There may be a few men near the entrance tempting to guide you around, but I find it's more peaceful to wander without them. There is an old cistern housing... More

Walking this archeological site in progress is an experience not to miss. The storks best everywhere and are active and entertaining. The sense of place in the recovered baths and living areas is a great experience for all ages.

We took a taxi to this site and were most impressed. The ruins are interesting and there were many vestiges of the roman town. Worth a visit.

This venue has something for everyone - Roman ruins, lovely gardens, interesting architecture and remains of a mosque. Plenty of cats and birds for the animal lover too!
