We chaperoned a group of school children for a field trip. It was informative and interesting. A smallish, not spectacular museum, but we learned a few new things and the staff was helpful and willing to answer questions. Worth a visit if you find yourself...More

I visited 5/6/18 around 10am. I was the only visitor in the museum. In fact, despite the museum opening at 9:30, the guides were not even there when I arrived. While large from the outside, the museum is contained to just a few rooms. There...More

Tanzania has an amazing history. Millions and millions of years of history and they don't show it at the museum. Recent history of the country is explained based on old and low quality pictures. Objects and the building are in poor condition. Need renovation!

The visit to this museum should take a maximum of 1 hour... it feels a little haphazard ...my highlights were the huge old tree in the back and the 4 vintage cars used by the founding president ..

This museum has several interesting collections, but no central theme. The collection of vehicles driven my the presidents is interesting, but I’m not sure how it connects to the other exhibits. Still, an early 1900’s Rolls Royce is cool to see. There are no directions...More
