If you're a fan of star wars the movie, then it's the place to be. You can walk around, it's free and guarded with the police. You can also do camels tours, or 4x4 wheels tours. There is a man with a little fennec to look at.

Try to get there when there's nobody else about - and sunrise over Tatooine is of course amazing. Watch out for Tusken Raiders. Its a great location - the set for part of the first Star Wars movie. Still very much intact and easy to find with your own 4x4. Tozeur nearby makes a good base for exploring this small... More

Visited this attraction on my own in November 2016. It is perfectly fine to drive by yourself to this place, which I did. From Naftah there is around 13-15 km drive into the desert on a nice road. You are able to drive all the way and park near the location. There is a lot of local sellers here and... More

good option for unusual photographs. There are some souvenir and dates stalls with funny sellers-not to agressive. The big send dunes are also close so take time to go on them or even drive if you have a 4x4 car...

To see where Star Wars was shot and where Luke Skywalker lived. I was there a few years back though. Even if you pretty much seen it all in 30 minutes it is still pretty cool.

Never seen film so not a fan but it is worth the visit for the inquisitive traveler. The set is wonderful too see at sunset the kids and the fox are a somewhat depressing sight. Tozeur is a beautiful oasis city worth a couple of days detour from the coast

This is really in the middle of no where so be sure to have enough petrol and phones don't always work and no café around when you get there... Maybe that's why people go with the tour bus 🤔 Which we didn't do! But was amazing to see.

Of all the Star Wars locations in Tunisia, this one is the best preserved, you really feel like you're walking around Mos Espa! Shame about the tourist hassle though... three boys were here, bringing "tame" desert fox cubs and lizards over for us to take photos, and when we didn't want any, just plain begging us for money to go... For any Star Wars fan, regardless of your opinion of Episode I or the prequel trilogy, visiting the set of Mos Espa in the Tunisian desert was an amazing experience. The state of the set is remarkably good for its age and the conditions, and it's really cool to wander through the various buildings and examine the craftsmanship from both... More
