From the pick up point at the Avani resort the whole experience has been worth the money. The jet boat was of course exiting and fun, running fast along black stone walls on the rapids of Zambezi, getting really wet from splashes. But even the trip has been fascinating. It takes about an hour drive to get to the gorge , and during the ride we passed to real villages made of mud and straws, with communities living there, with no electricity and water except for the one of the few dwells along the road. A true jum into the real life of Zambia.

A highlight of our trip to Zimbabwe was the boat tour with this company - knowledgable captain who spotted hippos , crocodiles and elephants for us and then got us up close to take photos. It was a clean and sturdy boat with a toilet and free flowing bar plus tasty bar snacks and canapés as the sun set over the Zambesi - but the highlight would have to be the high quality and thoughtful commentary by the captain and his interest in his surroundings and what we wanted to see- forget the rest - this was an amazing evening and only $10 more that the competitors with large crowded boats and less flexibility on where they could sail... Wish we could have gone every day !

I went a little while back. I had hoped to go white water rafting, but unfortunately it was not available the day I went, so went on the Jet Boat instead. Pros: Great fun! The boat flies along at high speed. You won't believe the shuddering and vibrations that your bum goes though bumping along. But it is good fun! Cons: None really. You do get a little bit wet. The price is fair. In summary. If you can't go White Water rafting, this is definitely worth doing during your trip to Victoria Falls.

Tony Pilcher (aka Bottles) is the hands on entreprenur/owner/manager of Jet Extreme. He took us on a wild ride in the waters near Victoria Falls on the Zambezi. He is organised, and very personable. At $95 per person (including transport, a cable car ride, refreshments and safety equipment) it's great value.

This was so wild! I'd recommend it to anyone who likes a thrill. Great views from inside the Batoka Gorge, great staff. The drive to the Jet boat site is also great. You are driven through an authentic African Village and have great views of the beautiful African bush.
