The beating heart of Osu has to be Oxford Street with its many shops. If you walk down Oxford street only once you will feel the dynamic beat of the street, but you will miss most of what is there. You need to visit again...More

I did not like this shopping area at all. Shop owners too intense therefore you did not enjoy the experience. I prefer Kumasi market near Circle station.

You can literally find everything you need on Oxford Street, for a negotiable price. It can become overwhelming, yet exhilarating while shopping here. It is a very safe area, while lots of shops, restaurants and bars.

Accra is safe... but beware of walking at night from the open gulleys, sewers and holes in the road. OSU and Oxford St is ok... some nice hotels and restaurants in the back streets... with the galleys, sewers etc
