Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Cooking with Auntie K was one of the best parts of my trip. I felt like I was eating at my own aunts house. She has the sweetest family and made my travel group feel right at home. The food was amazing and we learned so much from her. If you don’t take advantage of this experience your really missing out on something amazing. Auntie should get 10 stars!!!!!⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

It wouldn't feel like a family if you didn't show that much LOVE during your time with us. Thank you for coming and you know we have a lot more to cook together when you return to Ghana soon.

Let me start by saying, Auntie K is amazing! Her family was there assisting as well, and they really gave us an authentic experience. My group cooked Fufu with chicken soup, Jollof Rice with meat (non meat for the member that is vegan), Kelewele, and mixed vegetables. The food was absolutely delicious! Tasted different fufu since I been here and nothing beats a home cooked meal!

Definitely recommend!

I had a wonderful time. I was asked if I was okay with another traveller joining my class and I sure was! I met a new friend and shared a delicious meal with her. Auntie K and Deborah (and auntie K’s young daughter) were so nice and welcoming. It was like having Sunday lunch with my own Auntie. I like that you can do as much or as little of the preparation and cooking (all you need to do is ask or volunteer!). I was definitely doing more eating and talking than cooking. We had grilled chicken, jollof rice, cooked veggies, Kelewelle, light soup with goat meat (we also tried one other dish but I forgot the name. I took home a full plate of food that was good the next day too! Book with Auntie K!

We had a wonderful time with you and your new friend Tinisha!!! We have never seen strangers bond this easily over food in our cooking class as easy as you did. It was a special moment to know our class experience brought together friendship on the day. We look forward to cooking more delicious Ghana foods as discussed when you return to Ghana soon.

Thank you Auntie KK for hosting my family. It was a joy to meet your family in your home. We enjoyed all the delicious meals prepared by us and we even occasionally cook some of what we learnt. She's always on standby to answer your questions about any meal even after the class.

Will recommend 100%👌👍

I simply loved it! It is certainly one of the MUST DO’s in Accra. Probably best experience I had in long time: warm and sharing, informative and friendly and this in an atmosphere of family with children all helping!
I got good recipies, eaten at the end good Ghanaian food and made a friend by meeting KK!

Home Cooking with Auntie K was a great experience. I had a great time learning how to cook food from Ghana. Auntie K really explained how to prepare the dishes we cooked in detail and everything turned out perfect. My husband enjoyed the meal after we finished cooking it. If you want to learn how to cook foods from Ghana this is a great place to go. Home Cooking with Auntie K. We had a good time there.

Auntie K and her family were so welcoming! This was a great experience learning how to make some Ghanaian dishes in a traditional setting. This class felt a lot like helping your mother cook family recipes in the kitchen. Where recipes are known by heart, ingredients are measured with your fingers, and you taste test to see how things are coming along. The food was so delicious and we got to take some back with us for later!!

Auntie K is an amazing cook, teacher and host! She allowed us to be as hands on as we wanted while making sure everything came out perfectly. She even toned down the spice for me and my family, and the food was absolutely delicious. We made chicken, Jollof rice, spinach sauce with cocoyam and kelewele. It was one of the best meals we had in Accra and I would definitely take her class again in the future. Thank you Auntie K!
