Visited Katse Dam in 1994. My uncle was actually one of the engineers. Saw it before it was filled with water.

It is an impressive dam, but I don't think I'd travel to see just the dam unless it was in a very scenic area, and this is. And that's what made the journey all the more worthwhile

We drove from Fouriesburg to Katse dam. It is a good tar road that takes you over the mountains. Allow extra time for all the bends and turns and to stop, the views are spectacular in all directions.

A great dam, much to explore on the way. It’s very fascinating and I will recommend one to visit this place towards the sun set, but please be extra careful when driving. The road are too scary as they go up and down the mountains

We did a tour of the dam wall and although it is spectacular with fascinating facts, we had the worst guide I have ever encountered. She barely looked at us, showed us she was utterly bored with what she was doing and the accent was...More

The drive may be long, but it is definitely worth experiencing!! The dam is massive and the views are stunning; even the guard that let us drive over the dam was friendly! The bridge opens at 7 am and closes at 5 pm, so make...More

The people are friendly and the view of Katse Dam from the lodge is spectacular. What I was disgusted about is that on two occasions. 1st incidence happened in the afternoon when asked for a whiskey glass at the bar and the barman reached for...More

Goodday to you, There were no facilities at the Visitor Centre because we wanted to have a snack so we had a bite in the parking area.
