    Amazing boat trip
We did a full day boat trip with the Aqua Soleil company. Our crew, Fabrice, Julien and Yael were amazing. The boat trip was unforgettable, we visited a few different places including Ile aux Cerfs. Everything was perfect, this was our only outing during our Mauritius (we otherwise stayed at the resort) and I can't recommend it enough.

    Beautiful island (visited with family)
The Ile aux Cerfs Leisure Island is an incredible experience and offers picturesque surroundings in a "chic and wild" setting for a breathtaking experience of natural beauty. We didn't go with one of the organised 1-day boat-trips, as we wanted to make it more like a family experience, so I managed to find out that one can book the boat ride directly with the Ile Aux Cerfs Golf Club even if you don't want to play golf, you just pay a return boat trip. At the drop off you will be at the main beach where the bar is great, and Adrian was such a great help and provided us with great service! You can enjoy different beaches but we enjoyed the most the Golf course beach which is at the back on the island and it was a drive through the golf course (with arranged golf cart/shuttle service) . I am not a golfer but i have to say when i saw the spectacular golf course i wished i would be one ;-)

Kevin - the most amazing host.
Truly the most magical experience we could have hoped for. From the moment we stepped onto the boat for the private transfer we were treated impeccably. The golf resort is nothing short of spectacular . At time the sheer beauty was overwhelming and we were blessed to be able to play in such an incredible location. The course is supreme and the most beautifully maintained course we have ever played on. Truly a bucket list destination. However.... the highlight for us was the one and only Kevin. He made us feel so welcome, he was attentive, helpful, kind, funny and an absolute asset to the resort. We can't wait to return, and Kevin will be one of the reasons we return to play 'millionaires golf'. Top tip - take lots of balls. You will lose them but you won't mind.

    Expected better.
I was a little disappointed, the beach was very dirty with lots of cigarette ends and general rubbish, the sunbeds which are chargeable had all seen better days and did not look comfy at all. Maybe we were just a little unlucky on the day we visited, but it certainly did not feel like a Paradise Island. Best part of the day was the speed boat there and back.

    Nice
We had a fantastic stay at Bubble Lodge! The unique experience of spending the night in a beautiful bubble in the middle of nature was unforgettable. The facilities were excellent, providing a comfortable and relaxing stay. The dinner was absolutely superb. The dishes were delicious and beautifully presented. A special thanks goes to Nitish, who helped us throughout our stay. His friendliness and professionalism made our experience even more enjoyable. Nitish made sure we felt welcome and that we enjoyed every meal. I highly recommend Bubble Lodge and the dinner to anyone looking for a unique and luxurious overnight experience. We will definitely be back!

    Lovely little island
Couple of nice visits over the water to this stunning beautiful island. Couple of bars and snack bars on the island. Watersports activities, boat trips further afield, nice little craft market. Plenty of sun loungers. We were fortunate enough to walk along the island along the beaches when we stumbled across one of the hotels on the island. We politely asked if we were allowed on that section and the staff were really lovely and let us use the sun loungers and bar facilities, for a quick refreshment. This may be different in high season and hotel occupancy capacity, but it was also a lovely way to see where you might want to vacation next time! Bathing (swimming) was easier within the inlet where most of the boats arrive, there is plenty of coral and urchins on the other side, beach shoes are definitely recommended here. Prices are reasonable on the island, we were invited to a lunchtime seafood bbq, but with regret I don’t eat seafood so we kindly declined, before ordering wood fired pizzas and fries. Some lovely dishes and food options over there. Reasonably priced. Cash payments are preferred over there. Toilets and showers along with plenty of dining/shade spaces too. (The communal covered areas get a little snug when it rains, although I’m not sure why people who are swimming then run to get under cover either!) Lovely place to visit,

Parasailing followed by speed boat trip to Ile Aux Cerfs.
Booked a speed boat trip to Ile Aux Cerfs and did the parasailing activity beforehand. The parasailing was awesome and enjoyed by all of us. This was followed by a speed boat trip to Ile Aux Cerfs where a lunch on the beach in the mangroves was prepared for us. As soon as we were comfortable we embarked on another speed boat trip to an upstream hidden waterfall where we were able to get up and close to it by our skilled boats man to take some special photos. After leaving the site we were sped along the beautiful coastline on our return to our drop-off point on the beach. A wonderful experience all around.

We had the most magical night stay in ocean paradise! Customer service was incredible and couldn’t do more for us. We also had a very romantic dinner on the beach with fantastic food! A night we will never forget. Huge thank you to Nitish the waiter, Sharma the cook and Varoon for fire show.

My review is poor because of a number of things. First, our tour operator (Aquasail) was terrible. While the experience was safe, that's about all I can say for it. Promised a 'full day catamaran' experience, we instead got shuttled from the shore, to a parasail platform, to the island, to the lighthouse, to the waterfall ENTIRELY in speedboats. We spent about 30 minutes total on the catamaran, were discouraged from eating the food provided and thoroughly disappointed, disheartened and shivering by the time we reached the shore again at the end of the day.

If you do one of these package tours I'd highly recommend searching for better operators than ours. THis was a huge disappointment and a waste of time and money.

Oh and the Ile aux Cerfs was pretty meh. If you're staying near or on a beach in Mauritius, just stick with that and do something more interesting with your time.

There are many companies making the same tour. You have to be careful choosing the one. Ours was a guy with phone no: +230 5786 4339 name was Aqua Sail. It was a very poor tour.
1. They picked 15 of us with a small van and squeezed in it although we exceeded the max capacity and one had sit on the floor and a child on our nap. We requested 2nd car in return and they said they can’t.
2. They brought us to a place for snorkeling where there was no fish.
3. They gave a lunch which was very cheap, we could hardly eat a small piece of chicken. Fish and sausage was terrible.
4. They left us in a beach island which you have to pay for a chair and can not swim as water is too shallow for 3 hours. They did not allow us to stay on the catamaran.
5. They told us drinks were included but they said drinks were finished after the beach. On the start we saw many bottles but once we have returned to the boat there were only empty bottles. We don’t know what they did in this 3 hours.
6. On the way back we docked the catamaran and waited 40min for the speed boat to take us to the falls.
7. After a 20min fall tour with speed boat seeing two monkeys on the trees and the fall tour is finished.

Consequently we stayed on the catamaran for 2:30 hours with just 2 drinks and a terrible lunch. We swam in a sea with nothing to see. We had to sit in an island for 3 hours doing nothing other than drinking beer and paying extra for all.

I would definitely suggest you to ask for all the details and the places to visit. Take a tour which is thrust worthy.

Wanted to take a slow boat and take in breath-taking views but as we arrived after 1030am, we shared a speedboat with another group. On arrival, we sat down closest to the jetty, realised later that there were plenty of quieter areas if you walk further down with shadier areas. Weekends are busier, the best bit for us was the speedboat arrived 5pm so from 4pm there was only our group left on the island enjoying stunning views, peace and swimming. Agree the bar should play gentler music so we can enjoy the tranquillity. Shallow clear water so you can walk from one side to the other. Our speedboat driver was a speed junkie and on the return, we literally flew back to Mainland. Must visit.

The channel depicted in the photos is how ile aux cerfs used to be years ago . It had a tree house restaurant also at that time and was beautiful and a worthwhile visit.
ALAS, NO MORE.
The channel in which i used to swim looking at the trumpet fish below me has been allowed to silt up into a sandbank and the treehouse restaurant is a delapidated wreck with only a part of the kitchens still in use serving a four or five bench cafe type operation.
A case of profits only and no investment.
Dont waste your money visiting what used to be beautiful.
In all likelihood, you are already staying somewhere much nicer with a solid beach such as you now find at

We were taken there by boat from our hotel at the weekend so it was very busy.however we went there well prepared with food and drink so were able to find our own piece of paradise away from the crowds.
The sea was crystal clear and full of sea life perfect for snorkeling.
Later in the day we rejoined the crowds at the harbour, finding the sunbeds and bar drinks rather expensive, so would recommend like us to bring your own food and drinks.

We embarked on a delightful boat trip to a renowned island in Mauritius, a must-visit destination. During the journey, we marveled at the boat's skillful navigation through the waves, enjoying captivating performances. Our experienced driver ensured our safety and comfort. Upon reaching the island with our group of 10, we had only 1.5 hours to explore amidst a bustling crowd of tourists, making it challenging to fully enjoy the beautiful beach and sea sports. Despite the time constraints, the island's clear waters and lovely beach left a lasting impression. We also visited a tiny waterfall as part of the itinerary, which, in my opinion, didn't justify the visit. Afterward, we indulged in a beach BBQ lunch before heading back. Overall, the island's beauty makes it a worthwhile destination.

We booked with tino boat for 6200 rupees (Taxi included) but on the big day, on the road, the taxi explained that tino boat was not available and directed us to ROBIN DE MER... what a mistake... We had already come with Robin de Mer twice and it went badly. So, for us a 3rd... But we had no choice, we were already there. The number of people on their side of the island has tripled in size. Meals are not unlimited and neither are drinks, contrary to what taxis can tell you. The waiters inform you directly that they are not employees and that they are there to lend a hand, but also explain to you that they have their own businesses. They watch for the last bite of your meal and arrive with bags full of jewelry, supposedly homemade.
They unwrap everything on your table and won't let you go until you buy. The sea robin team is arrogant, and dares to give you a pot for tips at the end. NEVER AGAIN!!!!!!!!

This is a gorgeous and exclusive island just off the coast. We booked a speedboat through Jonathan & Vanessa based in Trou d’eau Douce which also includes a nice island BBQ to get over to the island. There is a public beach area with beautiful white soft sand and warm turquoise water and plenty of activities including a bar. There is also the private bit which has a luxury golf course and some of the island’s most exclusive hotels. Definitely worth a visit.

An unforgettable private honeymoon trip

We are staying at Long Beach and booked with Monica. We have just got back from the trip of a lifetime.

We were sceptical about booking initially which is understandable when booking excursions with people on the beach that you have never met before.

We had a fantastic guide Sonny who gave us bread to feed wild monkeys and then drove us to a beautiful waterfall. He then took us around Ile Aux Cerf to a beach that we had to ourselves. We then met Samuel who cooked us an incredible lunch: Shoemaker fish, garlic bread, shrimp, lobster and more with drinks included. The lunch was nothing short of 5 star.

In our opinion, any negative reviews here should be overlooked and we would highly recommend using this family run business!

This Island may not be for everyone, and some might get marketed as paradise and can be disappointed. We were here twice during our time on Mauritius, first was with a Catamaran tour, which did the GRSE falls and monkeys before letting us off for 2 hrs, and then the other time was with the hotel boat transfer for longer with no real plans other than spend the day on the beach there. Both times we were let off on the dock and had to run the gauntlet of sellers of trinkets and activities. The souvenir huts are not full of sellers and those there only made a basic gesture of trying to sell something. The activity operations did try a bit hardware but we had a toddler so we just said no to everything. The first time it was pretty packed as we arrived around 11am on a sunday, we enjoyed the beach further away from the crowds. The other time was a Wednesday and it was pretty empty, we did go to the other island (which isn't really an island anymore as it's seems pretty much all connected together at the lagoon) and it was an empty beach. If you go bring water shoes as there are sea urchins pretty close on the beach anywhere away from the crowds. There are loungers and umbrellas for rent but of course then it feels like any other crowded beach. The food at the restaurant is pretty much as expected on a tourist island. It's edible but you wouldn't make a trip to the restaurant there. It is pricy because it's a tourist spot, locals are not buying and eating there. We did enjoy both times there, and it is really what you make of it, but we also brought everything we needed for a day on the beach including mask and snorkel, towels and a beach blanket. There can be found some shade just off the beach. Oh and if you do the parasail, it really is 3 mins as someone else commented, we watched them one day and timed it. They do the exact same circle every time.
