Bluecrane Safaris Namibia is a local tour operator based in Windhoek, Namibia. We operate since 2007 and are running tours in Namibia, Botswana and Victoria Falls. We do small group tours from scheduled accommodated, camping , tailor-made safaris, private luxury safaris, fly-inn safaris and luxury mobile camping tours. We have our own fleet of custom 4x4 safari vehicles and fully trained guides.

The experience with Blue Crane, has been positive from the beginning.
Mr Derek answered to all my question in a timely manner, with accuracy and transparency.
The strength of Blue Crane was the program. Extremely detailed and exhaustive. Every step of the day was clear from sunrise to sunset, as well as what was included in the price and what not.
The tour fully confirmed my first impression.
On top of that, the Guide (Sammy), has been extremely kind and helpful.
Always available and an endless source of information !
Strongly recommended !

This past September we (a group of 12) had a great trip in Namibia and S. Africa with Blue Crane Safaris. Windhoek - Walvis Bay (with Sandwich Harbour tour), Sesriem/ Sossusvlei, then on to the Namibian part of Kalahari, Quiver Tree Forest, then crossed the border with S. Africa and spent 4 nights on safari in Kgalagadi Transfrontier Park, flight to Cape Town and 3 days there + Cape Peninsula. It was a nice mix of accommodated and camping safari, we had more comfort on some places and some adventure on others.
I have done several safaris with them in Namibia, S. Africa, Botswana and Zimbabwe and have always been very pleased with the experience.
We used two vehicles, two guides and a camp hand, two of them friends of mine from previous trips, so for me personally they are one of the reasons to come back to these places. Guides are always accommodating and flexible when circumstances allow for the latter. Usually people are commenting on quality of food etc. This is not the greatest concern of mine, while on safari, but, yes, the food is always good. Not mentioning the planning of the trip, since it has always been easy with this company, I have just started to take things for granted with them.
I would recommend Blue Crane Safaris to any prospective visitor to Namibia and the neighbouring countries without any hesitation.
I am already planning another trip with them to Spitzkoppe, Etosha National Park, Caprivi Strip and Victoria Falls next year.

The experience created by Bluecrane Safaris Namibia was absolutely superb. From the transportation, to the hotel accommodations, to the excursions everything was top of the line. Our Tour Guide Me-Gusto was amazing. He showed us so much history and went above and beyond to make sure our visit to Namibia was life changing. If you're planning a trip to Namibia, you definitely want to book Bluecrane Safaris Namibia.

If you are vacationing in Namibia, then Bluecrane is one of the top notch tour companies in the country. From my experience, I would rank it number one for superb customer service and having the best tour experience ever. Super organized and reliable!! I have been on many safaris' but none have topped Bluecrane. Derek and his team are extraordinary efficient and knowledgeable. Highly highly recommend

My husband and I had an unforgettable 7-day trip in Namibia with BlueCrane. Everything went smoothly good: since the planning process (through e-mails with Derek) and the week itself (led by our wonderful guide Frank).
We went to multiple cities in Namibia in a well-equiped 4x4 car with other 4 people (total 7 passengers, counting our driver and guide, Frank). Everybody was comfortable during the driving hours, there was water all the time inside the vehicle.
Derek rapidly replies e-mails and this efficient communication was key to organize the trip from the beginning.
Frank, our guide, did an amazing job: he has deep knowledge about Namibia, he is an excellent driver and guide.
There is a detailed itinerary that you receive from Derek prior to the trip that is good to understand what’s included. There are a few slight improvements that we suggested to Derek for this itinerary, mainly regarding the days in Swakopmund, and the meals - nothing major.
We stayed in good hotels and had lunch in good restaurants (since we booked a full board trip with BlueCrane, they did all reservations for bed and food). All went smoothly good.
In the end of the trip, Derek asked for feedbacks, which was a good experience too: he is constantly seeking for feedbacks to keep improving.
We definitely recommend BlueCrane for everyone!

Derek and his team could not have provided any better assistance in planning our individualised trip for an extended family of 14 to Namibia.
Frank and Sammy, our enthusiastic, friendly and always smiling guides, accommodated all needs, requests and special interests for our three generations. They made sure everything ran smoothly.
Namibia is a beautiful, interesting country to visit and we highly recommend Blue Crane Safaris to fully appreciate all there is to experience.

We had a private tour for our 14 family members. 20 days of travel and excitement. Our guides were Sammy and Frank who did a simply amazing job of driving us, keeping us safe and showing us their country. The vehicles were perfect for our family's needs and to make the most of our adventure. Some of the days involved a lot of driving on corrugated and dusty roads so a trip of this duration is not for the faint hearted. At the end of the day though, the travel was compensated for by the accommodation choices, the numerous buffets and relaxing "sundowners." Truly unforgettable adventure. Thanks Derek, Sammy and Frank.

My husband and I did a private 11 day tour with Bluecrane Safaris and we just had a marvellous time! We were in communication with Derek for a couple of months with planning etc and the emails were always very prompt and accommodating to our needs and timelines. Sidney was our driver and guide for the 11 days and we just had the best time. He was an excellent driver and always considered his passengers, and we had a great vehicle for the trip. He had great knowledge about Namibia, the people, places and history and shared lots of information with us. There was always lots of chat and jokes in the car for our whole trip. We saw the most amazing scenery, animals and people. We would highly recommend using the services of Bluecrane and we will be recommending this to our friends as a must do trip! Thanks Sidney and Derek - you made it a most memorable holiday and one of our best!

I decided to join the trip at the very last minute and am very thankful for that and for the assistance of Derek jacobs, the owner of Bluecrane Safaries to make this possible.
Everthing in those 2 weeks in Namibia, Botswana and Zimbabwe was great and exellent organized by the company and the 2 representatives who accompanied our group - driving, cars, accommodation places and lagers, food, incl. the self cooked by the very helpful guides at the lager places, guiding, the numerous safaris in the 2 weeks, etc.
I can only recommend a safari trip with Bluecrane Safari to my friends. Actually I do it all the time and a friend of mine decided to make a trip in August 2024.
Everthing in those 2 weeks in Namibia, Botswana and Zimbabwe was great and exellent organized by the company and the 2 representatives who accompanied our group - driving, cars, accommodation places and lagers, food, incl. the self cooked by the very helpful guides at the lager places, guiding, the numerous safaris in the 2 weeks, etc.
