I was in the presidential palace at the beginning of the meeting for inauguration. The garden is big and beautiful. Presidential hall was so big and there were enough space for plenty of people. I were there for about three hours

The palace seems nice from the outside. You cannot get inside! It is close to the Nile. You can take a couple of pics from the outside (remember that there aren't that many places to see in Khartoum).

If the Sudanese people put down their tea glasses for a minute, that palace would be a beautiful parking lot, maybe leave the palms standing....

Like most African presidential palaces, not the best place to visit, can not even walk past, and would not want to photograph. My highlight was being driven past, where on hooting you receive a tapping salute back from the presidential guards

The inside could be laid out better, but there were a lot of interesting historical photos, etc. I really liked looking at the old cars they have on display...

Back in the 80's you used to be able to get near to the Palace to appreciate the building and the views, now though the closest you can get is a view from the outside of the Presidential Museum - you can't even walk along...More

While most of Khartoum is relatively stuck in the past, the Presidential Palace is the exact opposite. With a view overlooking the Nile, the Palace is definitely opulence personified (compared to the surrounding buildings).

Looks grand form outside and is a part of the Nile Street tour but you cant access it nor can you take photos from the car so be careful... Just see it from the outside...

As so often a problematic listing on Tripadvisor, as there are two Presidential Palaces both the historical one and the new building are off limits to visitors. Don't try to make photo's as soldiers standing guard can become rather aggressive. The Nile side is forbidden...More
