Touring a historical Swazi Village after walking down to the waterfall and viewing Execution Rock was a treat. We watched the dancers perform dances for both male and female along with singing. At the end, some of the dances pulled women from the audiance to learn the dance. Afterwards we toured the village learning about the culture, the various huts... More

One of the best places to visit. The traditional dance and their singing is so good you feel like watching them for the whole day. The tour is more interesting too. Friendly people. The walk to the waterfalls need you to be nicely fit with comfortable shoes. Entrance is R400 per car

Visited with my two sons aged 12 and 15, neither wanted to go and both had a great time and really enjoyed, entrance is very cheap at R100 per person and R50 for kids. We were shown around by a lovely chap called Trevor who was very knowledgeable and interesting, we then went to see the waterfall near by. The... More

If you are looking for truly African experience, you should not miss Swazi Cultural Village. When we entered the village, we are expecting some of kind of a museum-setting. We are pleasantly to find out that real people actually live in the village. A wonderful local young man guided us through the village and told us about the incredible traditions... More

We entered the cultural village and went directly to the theatre. We enjoyed the Zulu dance and sing show very much. The show was short but really mindblowing. You could buy a cd of them singing for about 100 Rand. Then we got a tour in "the village" where they want you to believe that they really live there. Tour... More

The entry fee is a steep R100.00 or E100.00 per person, so if you are taking family be ready to payup; ok they take credit cards. The reed dance is fascinating especially if you never witnessed a Zulu dance before; yes Zulu; the Swazi culture borrows a lot from Zulu I observed. The people are pleasant and will do their... Designed for tourists this venue provides a very good insight into Swazi culture. The Mantenga Reserve is a living museum of old traditions and represents a classical Swazi lifestyle during the 1850s. It comprises 16 huts, kraals and byres for cattle and goats, reed fences and other structures. The reserve also includes the Mantenga Falls. Over about 1.5 hours we experienced:... More
