Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

This market is just a couple of hundred meters away from Mbabane bus rank. It provides a sharp contrast to the nearby modern shopping complex that increasingly look the same all over Southern Africa. The more conventional market consists of several halls. Each section of the market has its specialism. I found the traditional medicine hall the most interesting. But of course the vegetable and fruit sections and handicrafts hall are wonderful as well.
There is a small restaurant area where you can get simple meals prepared with care. Prices are around 25 Rand per meal.
Prices at the market are generally much lower than in the modern shops
I would skip the garment stalls with second hand low quality goods.

we visited the market as the only market in our itinerary. we started with the craft market which was full of different handmade stuff. we also bout a souvenir
then we went to spice market and fruit market, it was really nice.
but i think the main point of interest in such places is not the market or it`s stuff, mostly is nice and enjoyable when you speak with ladies who work there, there are full with positive energy, kindness and charm. also with talking to them you learn more of their country.

Everyone loves an outdoor market and if you’re in downtown Mbabane, you’ll want to stop here for your take home souvenir... you’ll see some other backpacker types, but not that many! Pretty cool. There are a few nice little places to eat as you head out of the small city to the resort areas in the hills.. and when you’ve finished with this market, hit the nearby arts and crafts market! Then you can check Swaziland - now Eswatini - off the list!

As much as I am a local, this is sub standard. It just needs a reconstruction fit for both a capital city and a tourist place. Parking is sometimes a pain in the neck and honestly there is nothing much to see let alone to buy, anyway.

Lots of curios to choose from, friendly vendors and the right place to get gifts and handmade beaded jewelry. Its where the locals shop to.

City council should spend money to bring this place 21 century, looks like still on the 17 century. fruit and veg shops outside are shags made out wood and plastic covers. inside is dark and dirty very chaotic.

Whilst this sort of market is acceptable in Africa, its appearance does not attract nor foster confidence. Items are varied but the same is offered all over Swaziland. Quality doubtful.

This place has always been a "must visit" on any trip to Swazi. There are an incredible array of crafts on show form soapstone figurines of every description through to intricately woven textiles and kitchen ware, masks and general curios. It can be a little hectic and intimidating for the uninitiated but with a winning smile and polite conversation you'll soon fill your car with real quiality African bargains to treasure.

The traditional markets are a great place to get chatting to the locals. The traditional materials are still being used to create innovative designs to appeal to both international and local markets. Beautiful jewelry made by the local women has been used as traditional cultural dress and here it lines the stalls. With a big hunting culture, spears and shields of animal hide are on sale also.
