We booked a tour to the rhino sanctuary. It was all well organized. It was great to see the rhinos so close. And Carol was the best host. Special Thanks also to Richard. Best regards. Thank you for the wonderful time.

We were originally scheduled to go to Uganda in May 2020, but the pandemic shut that down. We were able to reschedule to May 2021, and Carol provided outstanding service in updating our arrangements and permits. She kept in contact and always cheerfully replied to our many questions and changes in plans. Richard, our guide for our visits to many national parks and travelling around the country, was top notch. We have had several guides and hosts around the world on a variety of trips, and Richard may have been the best we have ever had. He is extremely knowledgeable and really easy to get along with. Our trip took us to Kibale NP for the Chimpanzees, a few days at both ends of QE NP, Bwindi for Gorilla tracking, Lake Mburo NP, a stopover in Kampala, and finally Murchison. It was all excellent with the exception of the unavoidable traffic in Kampala. The list of animals we got to see, many up close and personal, is long. Richard can identify them all and while we are not birders, knew all that stuff as well. Carol booked us into mid-range lodges and they were really quite nice. All were clean, had hot showers, and functional wifi. Turaco treetops and especially Mutanda Lake Resort were highlights. I could not recommend Gorilla Link more highly for a trip to Uganda. There are so many choices, but you simply cannot go wrong with Carol and company.

Carol is an excellent host. She is professional, courteous and organized. I am happy my team chose a Ugandan-owned and woman-owned business to support. It is great to have a tour guide that truly becomes part of your group. It was my first time visiting Uganda and Africa. Carol will guide you through the experience with ease. Our lodging in Uganda was more comfortable than in the US! 5 stars for excellent planning. I definitely didn't feel like I needed quite that level of luxury but it was a nice treat for sure. Some of the highlights of our trip included the Murchison Falls game drive, Queen Elizabeth National Park game drive, Bwindi Impenetrable Forest, and Gorilla Trek. I would definitely book with her again. You will want to plan for a minimum of 10-14 days. There are so many activities to engage in.

+1
We had a fabulous safari in February 2020. Caroline and Richard (our excellent guide/driver) made it into an outstanding experience. Starting in Entebbe we spent 11 days visiting 5 different parks (Murchinson Falls, Kibale, Queen Elisabeth northern and Ishasha sector and Gahinga). We have been on African Safaris 6 times before, but never in Uganda. The landscape was varied, green and very beautiful, the lodges where excellent, people were very friendly and we saw all the animals we had hoped for. Caroline was excellent in leading us to the right lodges and very helpful before and during our safari and Richard was a joy to be with. Our Land-cruiser was always full of laughs and we enjoyed learning from Richard about Ugandan ways while riding in the car. We are glad we chose Gahinga instead of Bwindi for the Gorilla tracking. The lodge was walking distance from the starting point for the tracking and it took us only one hour to find a playful family of 10 gorillas. The only negative was the quality of the roads. It seems that the whole Ugandan road -infrastructure is under construction. The parts that are finished are excellent, but a large portion of the road network is not quite there yet. But - we survived, thanks to Richard. We chose to go back to Europe from Kigali which was a good choice. The short transfer to the capital of Rwanda was on paved and comfortable roads. A great thank you also to Edison, our guide to Kigali, for making it a great last day of our visit to Uganda/Rwanda.
