Though larger and more diverse collections are housed elsewhere, the hands-on traditional drums and other musical instruments are the highlight of this modest collection.

I have visited twice on two separate occasions and the Museum has looked different on each visit. The later time it was under construction and all the artifacts were squeezed in one corner of the Museum ( visited with a friend from California and i...More

rating this average, but I guess it's not really average. the Museum isn't great, but we didn't really expect much. It's mostly cool because no one is there, it's small and you can relax. Good rainy day activity in Kampala.

We toured the museum and the guide was very precise, detailing the rich and sometimes humorous heritage of this country. A very worthwhile visit.

This is a fairly small museum and also fairly outdated. A lot of exhibits are under construction or not working. However, there are some interesting objects and fossils and it was a pleasant visit well worth the price (5000 Ugandan shillings for foreigners).

After reading the previous reviews I expected the worst and therefore was not disappointed when I saw the exhibits which cover the periods from prehistoric to present time. Yes, the exhibits are not well maintained and some exhibits are a ragbag of items which are...More
