Morgan and the entire 1000 Shades of Green Tour staff always go above and beyond taking care of our organization's needs in Uganda. We use them for travel to and from the airport and our location and again for our safari weekend. The staff are well-informed and friendly! I also appreciate that they support the See Them Grow organization that seeks to elevate education for the children of Uganda!

We had not been to Uganda, but Morgan at 1000 Shades of Green was recommended to us. He thoughtfully answered all of our questions and set up a fabulous trip with great lodges, superior guides and amazing activities. He happily provided options at various price levels to accommodate our budget. Our primary guide for the gorilla trekking days near Kisoro, Jackson, was perfect! We loved him. Excellent English. He knows the area well. He was happy to alter our plans based on our preferences. Jackson constantly found small ways to make our trip special. For example, one of the people in our group is a veterinarian — once Jackson learned this he reached out to one of the local gorilla vets to come to our lodge to chat with her. He solved all of our problems with a smile.

We booked our trip with “1000 Shades of Green” which is a reliable Ugandan owned company that offered a diversified itinerary. Charles was extremely professional and timely in his communication.
We had an incredible tour including Jinja (source of the Nile), Murchinson Falls NP, Kibale Forest NP (chimp tracking), Queen Elizabeth NP, Bwindi Impenetrable NP (gorilla tracking), Mgahinga NP (golden monkey tracking), Lake Bunyonyi, and Lake Mburo NP (walking safari, night safari, and horseback safari). This itinerary ensured that we were able to fully experience the variety of Uganda's natural environments and wildlife. We were extremely pleased with our primate tracking, boat excursions and safaris.
Charles provided a perfect service; he was very professional and really cared about the success and comfort of our tour. Our driver and tour guide, Milton (the silverback – hallelujah) was kind and extremely knowledgeable about the landscape, wildlife, economics and politics of Uganda. He made every effort to ensure that we had a great trip, including several sudden stop requests for taking pics or chances for shopping local things like panga, Stoney Tangawizi or Super Waragi. The land cruiser was very comfortable and the perfect vehicle for a great safari. The lodges and camps Charles has chosen were all very good – even the budget accommodations (excellent facilities, always perfect located as starting point for game drives and tracking, clean rooms with mostly great showers, good food, and attentive staff).
Finally, we will plan the next tour again with “1000 Shades of Green”. We can highly recommend Uganda as wonderful travel destination and “1000 Shades of Green” as excellent tour company.

We absolutely loved our tours. We did a private tour with Charles, and he was great. So enthusiastic and knowledgable. Also, my mom and I changed our plans a few times, and 1000 Shades of Green was very accommodating. Would 10/10 recommend!

My partner and I booked an 11 day luxury safari in Uganda with 1000 Shades of Green and cannot express how wonderful the entire experience was for us. This was our first visit to Uganda, and the itinerary Charles proposed was superb. Our guide Milton was exceptional and went above and beyond in every aspect of our journey. My partner had an unexpected medical issue that required immediate medical attention and Milton made sure that we were taken to receive the proper care. He went out of his way in every respect to ensure things went smoothly for us. We cannot thank Milton and Charles enough for their help and genuine care and concern, as well as the staff at Primate Lodge in Kibale who helped us.
All of the lodges we stayed in were beautiful, perfect locations to take in the wildlife surrounding us. Absolutely amazing scenery and animals! The activities planned for the journey consisted of Mountain Gorilla trekking, chimpanzee trekking, game drives, boat rides, and cultural tours. We were fortunate to have seen the tree climbing lions in Queen Elizabeth park, amazing menagerie of animals congregating along the Kazenga Channel, close encounters with hippos on Lake Mubaro and an up close and personal visit with the Rushegura mountain gorilla family in Bwindi!! The itinerary was the perfect combination of physical activity and wildlife viewing with comfortable lodging and tasty meals! We were even able to add on an extra visit to a local gorilla conservation organization in Bwindi, learning about community initiatives and veterinary care. We would HIGHLY RECOMMEND using 1000 Shades of Green as this company far exceeded our expectations . We are so happy to have found this honest and caring local company. Absolutely plan on using 1000 Shades of Green to explore northern Uganda for our next journey to this beautiful country.

1000 Shades of Green - 2014

Probably the best reference I can give 1000 Shades of Green is to seriously consider booking another tour with Charles Morgan Kisitu's company - Now to Uganda & possibly one other African country in late 2015 - After the 10 days in Uganda in 2014.

I have also invited Charles Morgan to make a joint presentation with me to several of my friends when he is in Minnesota sometime mid 2015.

In October 2014 - Thanks to Charles Morgan and his/my superbly knowledgeable and competent Guide/Driver, Charles Oyer, as well as with local guides, I saw all the 'required' animals in their natural habitat and in addition a magnificent Leopard, endangered Mountain Gorillas, and 5 Crocodiles of the Nile variety.

And then the Source of the Nile, Murchison Falls, etc.

I felt extremely comfortable (and safe!) in the fine lodges Charles Morgan had selected for me.

You wouldn't believe how many photos we took - Several hundreds. Oh well, after all I was
with 1000 Shades of Green!

We brought a group of eight teenage girls on a school trip to Uganda, and were recommended 1000 Shades of Green as our safari company. We are so glad we chose them! Our guides Ananias and Joseph were not only knowledgeable and personable, but passionate about what they did and went above and beyond in their care for our group. Thanks to their skill, during our stay in Queen Elizabeth National Park not only did we see a variety of elephants, monkeys, water buffalo, and hippos, but also several lions, leopards, and even zebras on our drive. Surely without them and this company our trip would not have been as successful or memorable!

I signed up to do gorilla trekking with 1000 Shades of Green, and I must say that it was a great experience from start to finish. Winnie met up with me at my hotel the day before I flew out and debriefed me on what was going to happen. She made it simple and easy to understand. Once I got to Kisoro, my guide, Alex, was great, friendly, knowledgeable, and an all around easy going guy to get along with. The lodge we stayed at, was also very nice, and I would definitely go back again. The gorilla trekking itself was incredibly difficult and exhausting, but I know that is not the fault of 1000 Shades of Green but rather the people that actually run the gorilla trekking. A word of advice to all considering the gorillas, they may be close hike, but it also may be a long hike. You MUST be in a great physical condition regardless, especially if you end up having a long hike. This was by far the most arduous physical activity I have ever done and I think they underplay that fact.

We used 1000 Shades of Green when we visited friends in Uganda. It was recommended to us by our friend who was born and raised in Kampala and had thoroughly vetted the firm. It did not disappoint in the least!

Our guides name was Meddy who has done numerous safaris all around Uganda and truly loves wildlife. Meddy drove us from Kampala out to Lake Mburo National Park. We peppered Meddy with questions about all the wildlife, behaviors, you name it and he always had a deep knowledge that he could share. Also, and crucially, when he didn't know, he loved his work so much he would study once he dropped us off and the next day have answers.

Highly recommend 1000 shades of green for a safari to Lake Mburo. If we get a chance to go back we'd hire them, and Meddy, again to go to another site where lions and/or gorillas live.
