We had a tour to Budongo for chimpanzee tracking, no as expensive as the chimps in Kibale, bu it is worth the tour incase you are tight on a budget or can not afford Kibale permits.

The probability to spot Chimpanzees is relatively high. Our guide was very good in detecting animals and could tell a lot about them and the plants in the forest.

Our chimp trek guide, Evelyn, told us how to look for chimps, and explained their calls. We saw dozens of them and it was stunning.

A great place for bird watching. Make sure you get a good guide who knows the system for paying the NFA, and buy some curios from locals to contribute to the local economy.
