The company’s directors are all motorcycle enthusiasts and are also proud members of Bhutan’s only motorcycle charity club – The Bhutan Dragons MC!. We recently went on a motorcycle tour of Bhutan with TUSK and it was an incredible experience. The scenery was breathtaking and we had the opportunity to see many of Bhutan’s most stunning and iconic locations. The tour was well-organized and the owner/operator Khandu, his right-hand man Karma and their entire team were friendly, helpful and fun. They provided us with all of the necessary information and made sure that we felt safe and comfortable at all times. The bikes, Royal Enfield Himalayan, were well maintained and easy to operate.
I would strongly recommend this tour to any rider looking for a unique and memorable experience. Note to women riders: Do not feel intimidated, this team is awesome and will take excellent care of you.

My wife and I just finished a 10 day motorcycle tour with TUSK Motorcycle Tours, in summary, it was fantastic. Khandu our road captain, as well as owner and founder of TUSK and his crew are all fantastic human beings, very professional, enthusiastic motorcyclists, great guides and fun to spend time with throughout the whole trip. The trip was a great combination of riding through incredible landscapes and learning about the unique Bhutanese culture. We can highly recommend TUSK Motorcycle Tours. My friend Khandu, at TUSK, organized and lead the Most Outstanding Motorcycle Tour of the Enchanted Kingdom of Bhutan !!! It is a road rally race through Paradise !!! Exciting and Beautiful. Bhutan is on the other side of the planet in the Himalayan Mountains south of Tibet and east of Nepal.

We had an exceptional four day motorcycle adventure organized by TUSK motorcycle tours and guided by Khandu. It is just perfect to ride Royal Enfield Himalayan bikes on the very good mountain roads of the foothills of the Himalaya. TUSK bikes are in top shape and Khandu knows all the roads from Bhutan to anywhere you can imagine. I highly recommend using TUSK in Bhutan. Five star service!

Bhutan is an amazing place to visit - beautiful views, unique culture & very friendly people. Touring by motorcycle is a great way to visit. You’re not stuck on a bus tour, you’re engaged all the time and the twisty mountain roads are a lot of fun. Khandu and his Tusk team provide an excellent experience. They know what to see, where to stay and are dedicated to representing Bhutan at it’s best. I highly recommend Tusk tours!

If you are thinking of motorcycling anywhere in the world, look no further than Khandu for an experienced and passionate motorcyclist and cultural guide, who is also a wonderful communicator and very thoughtful in considering your needs.
I have recently returned home from my solo trip to Bhutan and spent 2 weeks with him and his team and we quickly became a tight knit group.
Before I even hit the ground I felt confident that I would be comfortable and cared for. Every day was just that and much more. Adventurous, challenging, enlightening, and with backdrops of the most intoxicating landscapes. I can concur with all that is said in the previous reviews, sharing and feeling the same experiences.
If you feel it's a bit expensive, all I can say is that it was all worth every single cent.

My wife and I are in our '60s and have just returned from an 8-day Tusk Tour. It was the holiday of a lifetime that was lot more than just motorcycling. Great accommodation, fantastic food, uncrowded roads, magic people and culture. Often it felt like we had the Himalayas to ourselves. When booking I was uncertain who to go with, Tusk seemed the best to me as there was no "middleman." Khandu the tour operator is as his name suggests a "Can-do kinda guy". He is an adventurer and on his bike with you. His team including cultural guide and driver for the support vehicle were professional and super friendly. The bikes are in excellent condition and the support vehicle is well equipped with spares. Tusk have been operating a long time and the experience with all aspects of the tour shine through.

Three friends and I recently completed what would have to be one of the most amazing adventures: a 10-day motorcycle ride on Royal Enfield's through the mountainous Himalayas in Bhutan.
Bhutan is an amazing country full of the most incredible scenery, cultural sites, and probably the friendliest people that you could ever hope to meet. Plus, the thing that most motorcyclists love - twisty roads that ranged from good bitumen to unsealed rough mountain tracks. A little challenging in places but nothing that the Royal Enfield's couldn't handle.
The trip was organized and led by Khandu from Bhutan TUSK Motorcycle Tours, who put together a superb itinerary with great places to stay and eat, which were very welcome at the end of a long day on the bike.
If you are thinking of going "just do it", I don't think that you will be disappointed.

Khan Bhai is a many talented individual. Proud of his country, a mechanical engineer by training - for many years the only operator and repairer of printing presses in the country - motorcycling has always been his passion. Infused with subtle wisdom that comes from Buddhist teachings, Khandu listens and prepares itineraries accordingly.
Some may want hardcore off-road motorcycling, Khandu delivers. Others may want a more sedate exploration of the natural beauty of Bhutan, no problem, it is arranged. Jeannette and I wanted to discover the unique mountainous landscape of Bhutan and the historical gems contained within.
Khandu is one of Bhutan’s best and most able Ambassadors. For those of you who may be of that generation, he is the embodiment of the philosophy captured in the book Zen and the Art of Motorcycle Maintenance.
Khandu offers a full package deal, including facilitating the obtention of visas. If requested, he can take care off the last leg flight into Bhutan on Druk Air. Motorcycle, meals (whether they be Bhutanese or continental cuisine), and lodging (in very comfortable three-star minimum hotels) are all included. Khandu tries to be the Road Captain of all his tours, thereby allowing for adaptations along the way. Included in every tour are a certified guide and a back-up vehicle.
The bikes are Royal Enfield Himalayans, perfectly suited for the terrain and easy motorcycles to ride. This having been said, the potentially treacherous high passes of over 3,500 meters and the shear drop off the side of the roads leading up to them demand some level of confidence on the part of the rider. Khandu quickly gauges the level of the rider and is there to build the needed confidence and even enhance individual riding skills.
The demands on individuals are limited. A sense of humour, inquisitiveness, the ability to absorb and the respect of others are probably the key among them. Riders need to arrive fully equipped with helmets, jackets, boots, and rain gear. There is very limited motorcycle equipment available in Thimphu. Given that Khandu tries to lead each of his tours, the number of tours are limited, and potential clients need to inform as soon as it is known of any delays in arrival or eventual cancellations.

We had such an amazing adventure with Bhutan TUSK Motorcycle Tours. Thirteen days of riding motorcycles all over Bhutan in all types of terrain and roadway conditions. Khandu was an amazing guide and road captain. The riding was challenging but Khandu made sure that we felt comfortable and never rushed. Every single aspect of the trip was planned to perfection, and even our last-minute changes to the itinerary were flawless. Consistently spectacular destinations (and routes), good food and lodging. Chenco drove the support truck and was always proactive in making sure we had everything we needed. Dorji shared her extensive knowledge and unique perspectives while touring all the historic and culturally significant locations.

How much is the tour cost and duration

Ours was 10days at almost USD250 per day which covers everything: motorbike, hotel and food and coffee/tea/water at meals.
Best to get a quotation from Tusk.
The spend per day is rather regulated. Not sure if there is a spend amount difference with India nationals.
