This site offers the graves, family home, museum and Library. I arrived to the visitor center were I was able to purchase the ticket, get my tour ticket of the home(takes 15 mins). I was able to visit the graves in the chapel prior to touring the home. The museum is a mix of presentation from 30 years ago and... More

This was amazing, even though two of the galleries were under renovation. Plans are in the works to redo the whole thing in 2018-19 if they can raise enough funds in the year ahead, at which point it would be truly incredible. (Verify before planning a trip that it is not temporarily closed.) This was imagined and started by Ike... More

I have been here, several times. It's a nice drive on a clear day. It's an exciting place to see. The memorial spot is beautiful. I go, every 3-4 yrs. It's about time, again. Kids enjoy it, but, adults can 'remember'. It's good for everyone. Abilene is a nice town, in itself.

Was expecting more about his presidency, instead, museum focused mainly on WWII. Enjoyed the exhibit about Mamie and her dresses---especially nice that they were on mannequins that spun around so you could see the back. House tour was ok, can only see first floor and can't even see all the rooms---kitchen can only be sort of seen with a mirror... More

We stopped by the museum on our way to Colorado. It was a great chance to stop and stretch our legs. Turned out it was much better than we imagined. Learned a lot about history.

I stopped in Abilene, Kansas to visit the Eisenhower Library and Museum. The first place was the chapel where General and Mrs. Eisenhower (and one of their sons) are buried. From there, I purchased my ticket for the tour the boyhood home. I went to the auditorium for the 20 min. movie. After the movie, I went to the boyhood... More

I have been to many Presidential museums. The Eisenhower one being one of my favorite. It had many artifacts with proper context. I enjoyed the grounds as well. The short film on his life was educational and interesting. The museum is out of the way of major towns but well worth a visit.

Supporting the Library, went to hear FNC Bret Baier speak & sign book. Arrived early to research WWII papers and shop. Met friends for Birthday dinner and had VIP experiences. People all are professional and so very helpful and nice! Every American person should visit and plan 2-3 days in best kept secret of Kansas! Visit historic Abilene; so much... More
