    Recommended to do!!!
I loved it so much! This is the best experience for a cooking class I've done. I came for trekking and accidentally found this class. I checked it out and asked them of I could join with my tight schedule. I had only a few hours before I went to the airport. They were willing to add me to the upcoming class! We had 4 people in the group, really fun and the food was amazing! Nilam and her team (Nishma, Samjhana) are the best!! Nilam brought us to the local market and spice shop. She explained all the details we should know. She is knowledgeable, has great energy, and has really good English. Highly recommend: DO NOT have breakfast before you come for cooking class because you won't have room for all the tasty food you get to cook 😂😂😂😂

Wonderful experience for a Sola female traveller!
I had a lovely experience and learned so much! I learned how to prepare and cook a 4 course menu (thupka, Bara, Momo's and pudding). There were many courses to choose from. The market visit and learning about the spices was especially fun. Highly recommend this class to anyone from beginner to experienced cooks! 🤗

    Great experience
We attended the 4-course cooking class. The class included a visit to the spice shop. The cooking class was extremely well organised. The instructor and the assistants were very knowledgeable and helpful. They managed to keep an eye on everything so that nothing burned despite the whole group cooking simultaneously :) After the class, we received a recipe book by email and can't wait to try the recipes at home!

Excellent introduction to cooking in Nepal!
Reecha did a fantastic job introducing us to various vegetables at the market before class. She thoroughly explained everything cooking thukpa, bara, vegetable mo mo and carrot pudding for dessert. We had so much fun learning about Nepali cooking with her. They send you all of the recipes in your email afterwards. The only problem I had was I had to ask my tour guide numerous times to be able to get the recipes in email after I left Nepal or I wouldn’t have them. Hopefully, they will pay more attention in the future to provide this to others without having to request a copy numerous times as they tell you they will do before you leave and they confirm your email address. I highly recommend this when in Kathmandu!

    Great experience which helps locals.
We were greeted by our host who explained a bit about the different menus and then we set out to the market. We got to see local veggies and the spice shop, where we got the opportunity to buy some. After heading back to the cooking school we cracked on with making 4 dishes. They have 3 different menu options to choose from. Our host was lovely, explains everything very clearly and gives you a good insight into Nepali gastronomy. More importantly Nepal Cooking School is a charity which helps young people access education, so it’s for a great cause. Would recommend it 100%!!!

This was one of the most fun and authentic experiences of the week and a half I spent in Tibet and Nepal. It's fascinating learning, delicious, interactive, fun and the people running it couldn't have been nicer.. Even better that it's supporting an important cause.

Amazing cooking class where you learn to make the most delicious of foods! The hosts were very warm, welcoming and knowledgeable on everything Nepali food. I ended up by myself in a class, however felt very comfortable and the hosts were like old friends. Learning (and eating) four courses leaves you very full and content! ☺️

We had a great time at the Nepali cooking class. The two ladies who led the class were wonderful and friendly and very informative. We really enjoy going for a walk to buy our groceries and learning about it, local grocery store and spice store. We also really enjoyed cooking and it turned out delicious. Best, we now have a copy of the recipes and so we think we'll hostate a Nepali dinner for friends and family

This a great way to spend a few hours for anyone who loves food, especially local food. The hosts were very knowledgeable about local food and took us to the market. There they showed us local spices and vegetables and collected the food for our dishes.
We got to choose a 4-course meal which they showed us how to cook, and in my case helped us out a lot. It was a fun way to spend 3 hours and get to meet people, all while helping a good cause through the Cooking Schools Foundation.
The also email you the recipe cards after

The staff are professional and friendly and the food cooked was delicious however there were several things that could improve. For the amount you pay, the food is not enough to make you full. Also, the whole lesson took 2 hours compared to the 3.5 as advertised. The entire night felt very rushed. Some of us were still eating our desserts and the staff were already handing us out evaluation forms.
Another thing is for a cooking lesson, you would expect to have your own cooking station and making your own portion but some were put in pairs and had to cook together.
