I have used Himalayan Treks twice already! First I did the Everest Base Camp trek with Eva and her team and it was one of the most amazing experiences of my life!! We spent time in Katmandú, Bhaktapur and surrounding areas before and after the trek so we could experience some of the most amazing historical sites. Then we flew to Lukla where we started the trek. Eva´s knowledge of the local culture was superb and her passion contagious. She knew how to handle the trek (nutrition tips etc) and how to manage difficult situations so she made us feel always safe.
The second trip was Goisakunda Lake Mastermind trek last October 2017 that combined a mixed of trekking and inner development sessions lead by Eva and Lourdes (from Veda-studio). In each place we stopped we had a private professional climbing tent ready for our sessions so we could have privacy.
In both trips we trekked through amazing local villages where we had the chance to interact with local people. Our local guides were really good and we could communicate in English to know more about the local culture. The porters were soo sweet and helped us so much during the treks making sure that we were ok at all times.
For me, there was a before and an after the treks in my life. The people I met are now very close friends and I learnt so much about myself and my inner power to overcome obstacles. I truly recommend both treks; you will have a life-changing experience that will challenge you to become a better version of yourself!!

I had only done a couple of treks before I travelled with Himalayan Treks to Nepal, so wasn’t sure what to expect. The Himalayan Treks’ experience was extraordinary, and it will be certainly be a trip I will never forget.
The trip was meticulously planned. We had a full and exciting schedule. What we hadn’t accounted for was for the BA checking desk sending our luggage to the wrong destination. Our luggage was sent to India rather than Nepal. Once we got to Kathmandu it was clear no luggage had arrived. When we explained the situation at the airport, we were reassured that our luggage would arrive in the next 2 days ready for our early departure to Pokara for the start of our actual trek.
Obviously we informed Himalayan Trek as soon as we were picked up from the airport of the little issue of us not having any luggage (no rucksacks, no down jackets, no sleeping bags, no water bottles, zero). Luckily our trekking boots where in our hand luggage. Eva, from Himalayan Treks, spoke to the airport authorities and again we were reassured our luggage would arrive in time, so we might as well enjoy the city for a couple of days. Eva had organised 2 easy days exploring Kathmandu, so we could absorb the atmosphere, get acclimatised and discover the gems the city has to offer.
We did relish the city and kept checking with the airport for updates. Unfortunately it did become clear, as the days went by, that our luggage was not going to arrive in time. So Eva took us emergency shopping to get from basics (underwear, toothpaste, etc.) to appropriate trekking gear (down jackets, sleeping bags and more). This in itself was an amusing experience if a bit stressful.
Once the trek itself started, everything went like clockwork. We discovered picturesque little villages, friendly and interesting villagers and children going to school along the way, and amazing and breath-taking landscapes. On the human side, we got to socialise with both the guide and the porters and learn their stories. We also had dinner with them and the locals in a few occasions and were lucky enough to be invited to play cards and take part in their singing, drinking and dancing. We were humbled and honoured by this experience.
In our small group there were members with different levels of fitness. Eva made sure the trek was organised to accommodate us all and to take into account the altitude changes. No one felt left out with regards to ability levels and there were no altitude related issues. For those of us who had a bit more energy left at the end of the trekking day, Eva had a few walks/activities on the side that we could do once we got the base camp.
The accommodation was basic along the way. The more you climbed the more basic it got. Nevertheless, it had everything that was needed and expect from a trek, and the most important thing, the people running the accommodations were locals and very grateful for your support of their community.
This was not a luxurious holiday, but one choreographed by Eva to have an impact on your soul and to change your appreciation of life in ways you would not expect.
If you were interested to hear, our luggage was waiting for us at Kathmandu airport by the time we got back from the trek, so we went back home with an unforgettable experience, a warmth in our hearts that you could only get by visiting places like Nepal, and double the luggage.
All in all, if you’re thinking of going to Nepal I would whole heartedly recommend Himalayan Treks.

I went with Himalayan Treks on EBC/Mani Rimdu Trek and I had such a great time. Eva is really connected to that Area and very passionated about the treks and that is what you feel as a customer. I just desided to join her on a Mastermind Trek this year. Thank you for everything!

I joined the October EBC and Mani Rimdu festival trek. Himalayan Treks were the perfect "sherpa" for this adventure; their love and respect for Nepal are contagious and the basis for creating very unique experiences. From beginning to end, it was an absolute pleasure to deal with Eva and her team. The whole itinerary was well thought through and all details sorted. Cherry on top, I felt like I was travelling with wonderful, old friends.

I felt just very comfortable with the entire organisation of this trip. I met so many people on the way where something went wrong and realised during the trip more and more how important a good trek organisation is. To chose the right trek organiser should not be taken light hearted, you can risk a lot, even your life. Himalayan Trek has the expertise and you are in good hands! Thumbs up!!!
