On clear day from Sarangkot you can have awesome view of mountain range, better then from Fewa lake. Early morning is the best chance, but the skyline can change quite quickly. In April some days the sky was hazy even early morning I decided not to book tour o taxi for sun rise tour (taxi usually 2000-3000 NPR) and on the day I saw clear sky I just took the cable car for 1000 NPR (about 20-30 min walk from the lake side area. Unfortunately by the time I got to Sarangkot the clouds floated over the peaks. You can also rent a motor bike to go there or just walk up as part of warm up for the trek.

Our Hotel (Three Jewels Boutique Hotel) Owner booked the Sky Bird Paragliding team for us.
They arranged Hotel Pick up and drop off for us.
Took off nicely from the higher point (1600 mtrs.) Sarangkot and had an amazing flight and landing smoothly near the lake 30 minutes later
Excellent view during the flight.
The Pilot was highly experienced, very friendly and explained the details elaborately.
Exciting Experience.

You need to hire a taxi from Kathmandu for this. See the Sunrise at Sarangkot, which is thrilling & breath taking.

Hi!
Look like so many option for your vacation.
1.never trek by myself from Pokhara to Dhumpus so cant suggest anything for you, sorry.
2.bamboo paragliding is a company at sarangkot can arrange for your flight, local bus can help you a lot..
3.from sarangkot to pokhara must be 5 hours on bus or van, i think trek is not a good option compare to your short time there.
I think in Pokhara or Sarangkot only will fit your schedule, take flight at Po or Sa that great memory..

Hi there, does anyone know how many stairs/how long it takes to walk to the top?

Most people get taxis as it is about 1/2 hr from Pokhara and once you get there there are only a few steps till you come to like a large area to view the mountains, you can pay to go onto the balconies of cafes to see from there but that is still only a dozen or so steps. It gets very busy, I hope this helps.

Hello, sarangkot is a mountain in pokhara with no trail, mainly used for paragliding and zipline. The trail up there is anapurna circuit or poon hill and i didnt have time to do any of them. But in case you want small hike for about 45 mns uo to an hour, you can take a small boat from pokjara to the other side of phewa lake and hike up the mountain to peace pagoda temple and for me this hike was the highlight of my trip as the voew up there os breathtaking

I don’t think so. You probably need to take a taxi part way and then you can hike up to the top. Just ask around when you get to Pokhara, everyone is friendly.
