The Japanese built building itself is a treat, lots of history and well laid out, the only thing that gets me as in most of many museums in Taiwan - the lack of English in their display...if you can read Chinese it's a five star museum!

The building is a beautiful building in European style. Inside they tried to partly keep it how it used to be. It is very cool to see that already at the beginning of the 20th century they had very elaborate window opening and closing systems. The exhibition is very nice for children, but mostly those who can speak/ understand Chinese.... More

The museum offers interesting topics about taiwanese culture and the entrance is free. Also they have interactive stations which is also exciting for non mandarin speakers

If you can't read Mandarin then I think it would be very fast to finish this area. Anyway this is nice to visit, a kind of unique architecture building here.

I did not know that the Taiwanese aboriginals had literature until I went to does museum. Also featured is how Taiwan in literature has been influenced by China and Japan. And it even has modern literature too.

This museum is a European style building bit presents the various literature collections. I like the interactive exhibition but it's a pity that the imstruction is in Chinese so only the touriats who can read Chinese can get the idea to operate it.

The museum displays the manuscripts of many major writers and outlines the history of Taiwanese literature. We like the sense if history and its quiet environment. But some scholars' works should not be included, for they are not great scholars.

This museum has an extensive exhibition on the local literature history, with many manuscripts of famous writers. It takes about 2 hours to go through the main exhibition, and there are special exhibitions on various topics that change seasonally. Most of the things do not have an English description however, visitors might need to read Chinese to enjoy the museum... More
