Nice place to visit and full of history. Best visited with local guide as part of tour to get full experience. Take time to visit the various small museums around the shrine

The architecture is more simple than you see in many Buddhist temples in Taiwan. The temple and surrounding gardens are beautiful and worth a visit. I think morning is a great time to visit this shrine.

Koxinga is credited with driving the Dutch from Taiwan. The grounds are pleasant to walk around and see the stone statue of Koxinga, the Sanchuan Gate, Kinmen-Shaped pool, Main Hall, Back Hall, and the Gate and Monumental Archway.
