The rating is given for the sake of this night market reputation which is one of the best night market in Taipei. It is accessible by using MRT transport and a walking distance of 2~3 minutes. Anytime after 5pm the place is always crowded !!!...More

If you're going here just for the food (not a lot more to go for really) you'd be better off going to one of the other markets.. As the market suggested it's a tourist night market. So it's catering for tourists and I don't think...More

IMHO. Nothing to do if you are not local. Dirty, smelly place. Stupid attractions, shopping lanes quite crowded. All branded goods more expensive than on the high street. Can pick some souvenirs.. Disappointed.

The market is easily reached by metro, but you have to get off at Jiantan (red line 2) instead of Shilin stop. From there you walk straight into the market where you can play games (darts and airsoft to pop balloons, throwing balls or hoops...More

Food is important for the Chinese culture, so I could not imagine they will be closed throughout the whole New Year period. Contrary, it is probably going to be more crowded that time of year.
