The museum is probably the best in the world when it comes to Chinese art although it could use a bit of renovation. As the story goes, they could change the collections every 3 months for 10 years and not show the same piece twice. Only downside when I was there was the Mainland Chinese tour groups. Loud, rude and... More

It would be an error not to visit this somptuous place where a comparative view of western and eastern civilization is evidenced through multitude of paintaings, artifacts, poteries, stautes, etc. A superb building truly representing the proud past of Taiwan and the Chinese culture as a whole. This golden place makes you think. Definitely a " Must see ".

This is a 'must visit' spot in Taipei. We only had 3 hours which is nowhere near enough time. The displays are fantastic and deserve time to truly appreciate them. It is busy so advise getting there early and go straight to the top level to the jade (queue's get longer) and work your way down. The Museum also has... More

This was my first time to visit this palace....I was born in Taiwan. So don't think it was any hurry to visit here. But my son went to visit the Beijing's. So I've been pushed to join with for the visit. We carried three big luggages....thanks for the storage service....And 100% refund to U......wow!

You can experience the Chinese/Taiwanese history and culture by visiting this astonishing place. Highly recommand! By the way, try to avoid grops then you will find peace and lost... More

They have a place to check in bags and luggage for free! Best museum for ancient Chinese artifacts in the world! I was there for three hours and could have easily been there for longer.

The National Palace Museum holds much of the holdings of the former Manchu rulers of China (1644-1911) as well as some of their predecessors. In this sense, the Palace Museum resembles the Prado Museum in Madrid. The collections, which Chiang Kai-shek's dictatorship moved from China to Taiwan in the late 1940s to escape the Communists, are huge and only a... More
