Preserved Japanese style building which used to be a restaurant built in 1917. Take time to explore the old style building which is now used as a venue for cultural programs (chanced upon an ongoing Japanese dance class when I was there). I had attended a workshop hosted by Kishu An, the speaker was writer Pai Hsien-Yung. The workshop was well arranged, providing the audiences a nice environment to listen to Mr. Pai. He talked about his 10 years efforts in riviving Kunqu, Chinese opera. We were all immersed in his story and inspired by his spirit in help riviving Chinese traditional... More
